Revenge Games

Saturday Down South has us listed four times in this article. UF versus Mississippi State as our revenge game and Kentucky, Missouri, and South Carolina as having revenge games against us. I think you have to throw in Tennessee too, because of the heave to Cleve. Let's hope these games fall in our favor. I am worried about Mississippi State. Fitzgerald is a player and our record playing in the State of Mississippi sucks.

This Florida team is going to be a lot like the last one, able to play stout defense but abysmal at putting points on the board in spite of being led by a former OC.

Yep we will be at a big disadvantage at QB at MSU as long as their new coach keeps using his running ability a lot which it sounds like he will.

I think this game is a more likely loss than even LSU since its on the road.

I have my doubts about the Miss St game too. As you said we haven't done well in Starkville the last couple of decades, their players already know our offense and defense better than our own players, they have a strong D-line, which always slows down Mullen's offense, and I'm sure their players are loving the opportunity to beat their old coach who left them for a better job.

South Carolina will be another tough one, since Muschamp's defense has usually done well against Mullen and there isn't much of a talent gap between the two teams. Fortunately it's a home game, so I think that gives us the edge. UT sucks. We'll beat them.

Maybe. But I don’t think this team will have that much difficulty putting up points. Particularly on the ground. Now if we are eve in any scenario to where we get behind and we need to throw the ball down the field, it’s going to get away from us in a hurry.

Why would Msu be our revenge game? I could see them wanting some revenge against Mullen, but that would make it their revenge game. Also, why are Mizzou and Usce seeking revenge after beating us last year, and why isn't UF/Lsu mentioned?

The vols and wildcats will be looking for revenge. But that's been the theme of the last 30 years. We should be looking for revenge against 7 teams, namely Lsu, uga and the noles.

Against the weak end of the schedule, perhaps, but you can't expect to score much against the better defenses running it all the time.

True. Thank God we’re in the East. Other than the dwags, there’s no elite defensive lines.

That's definitely possible. But mizzou is absolutely horrible in some position groups. And Kentucky will never ever beat us if they couldn't get us last year. Swain left uncovered or it probably woulda been an L.

crap if so because means we likely lose at least 2 of 3 to LSU, georgia, fsu. Mullen and his staff have to account for something. Great coaches and staff's win games by their preparation and how they manage tough games. Lets hope Mullen has something I failed to recognize. Perhaps his losing season in 2016 was just to throw me off and hide his genius and recruiting acumen.
