LATEST MEYER BACKTRACK ON Wednesday's poor effort.....released after 5 on Friday....lol....feeling the heat

_______________

Below is Meyer's entire statement posted to his Twitter account:

My words and demeanor on Wednesday did not show how seriously I take relationship violence. I sincerely apologize. I was taught at a very young age that if I ever hit a woman, I would be kicked out of the house and never welcomed back. I have the same rule in my house and in the Football Program at Ohio State. Over the years, we have worked hard to educate and remind our coaches and players of the seriousness of relationship violence.

I understand my lack of more action in this situation has raised concerns about this commitment. I once again apologize for this, and I extend my empathy to all women, men and families who are affected by relationship violence. This has been a real learning experience for me. I fully intend to use my voice more effectively to be part of the solution.

Let me say what I should have said on Wednesday: I sincerely apologize to Courtney Smith and her children for what they have gone through.
Paul Finebaum ripped him for being insincere and too late. This comes off as a choreographed attempt at damage control.

Bullschit response. If he was sincere about kicking someone out of the house, he should have done so with Smith a long time ago. Statement should include a footnote with “if you are charged and convicted”.

I'm not really trying to be a smart ass. We were once house counsel for several hospitals and large phys groups and malpractice counsel were basically everyone. There was rarely a decent sized malpractice case we didn't have someone (multiple providers need multiple firms). We did education series to our nurses and providers but in general we told them if you think it's gray area, call us and let us decide.

That is the position all of my employers have taken also.
No you’re good. I have a teacher friend who is a mandatory reporter, but I never quite knew who all were and what it entailed. She just said that she has to tell her principal if she suspected anything related to child abuse was going on. She was just being basic about it and didn’t seem to want to talk about it because she has had various reports to file.

Leyer is going to need to order his cars with the transmission installed backwards, one forward gear and six reverses.

And an "erase all data" switch on the dash.

MOM?

@CoachZachSmith: Can’t wait 2 disclose the 2.5 hr “investigative” interview I gave 2 the people OSU employed 2 find out if Cch Meyer / Gene Smith did anything wrong... Questions were bizarre & VERY clear they weren’t investigating ANYTHING they were supposed to be... Investigating media backlash.

I’m honestly loving all of this. Fvk OSU and Meyer
Even if we just win one more recruiting battle a year, this helps us.

You know the whole world is telling recruits that Leyer doesn't look out for his players, telling mom's that Leyer won't keep them out of trouble (can't even keep his coaches out of trouble), is unethical, may quit again soon like he does when his belly starts rumbling. Nothing but good for us.

That and we should have a picture of the gray sky and/or the brown ****ty snow on the ground in Columbus every day from November through April.

Just forgot about his own rule. For a few years.

Whoever is writing his stuff needs to be fired too.

I feel this is far from over. Not to mention Leyer handled this poorly, but pOSU did nothing but to figure out what to do to save Urb's and their azz. It was a Bull$#!t investigation. I see a rocky road ahead. If so, you know how that bunch will react. Wheels will come off the bus in Crackcumbus.

He released that crap around 5pm on Friday too. Anyone that knows anything about the national news cycle knows that wasn't coincidence.
