@ThomasGoldkamp: Interesting. Dan Mullen said Nick Savage was going to stay working at MSU through the bowl game until he got to UF and saw how far behind the program was in S&C.

He said: "Nope, I've got to get here." #Gators

Didn't bother Spurrier's teams
Looking for every edge. Some of the new especially cool and wicking fabrics are only available in certain lighter colors.

Plus SOS teams scored in 3-6 plays. We will be lucky to have first down in 3-5 plays and will still have 70 yards to go.

These guys DESIGN the ball control offenses to require the offense to grab just 10 yards in 3 plays. All we have to do is hope that none of those 19 yo boys fvkk up in 8 series and maybe we can score.

Nothing better than wearing dark colors in the heat.

I agree, but based on what we've seen from Mullen at #Failstate, how long until we have black alternates? Then again, if we do it for a night game like those jerseys we wore against aTm last year it won't hurt too much.

For the last 8-9 years it seemed we wore down in the 4th quarter in almost every game-will be interest to see how being savaged has helped us

Isn't there a air-blow tube that they stick inside the jersey when they go to the bench?

I think it bothered the young man that died of heat stroke.

He was walking with teammates after practice. Hard to pinpoint the cause, but lack of hydration is the more likely scenario.

And I sure hope this wasn’t your attempt at humorous sarcasm, because that would be sad.

During off season workouts that had nothing to do with uniforms

The comment had nothing to do with uniforms, it was in reference to the gator blue getting lighter. The picture that was used as reference, the players were wearing shorts and T-shirt’s.

Does anybody in football die of dehydration? I think football players are more likely to die of overhydration.

Now heat stroke is a different thing altogether. I’m sure quite a few die of heat stroke. Which is ludicrous.

The cause of his death was heat stroke.

Article referenced below.

UF Athletics Suffers Tragic Loss - Florida Gators

Dehydration reduces the body’s ability to sweat and therefore dissipate heat. This leads to heat exhaustion and will continue towards heat stroke if not addressed. The article mentioned returning to the locker room after “voluntary workouts,” which would indicate coaches weren’t allowed to be present under the rules back then. Not sure what the rules were about S&C staff presence, but possibly not enough to monitor hydration.

In short, dehydration was the probable cause, heat stroke was the effect... unless someone can show me that my memory of military training is wrong.
