He didn't return kicks today, he isn't getting carries. I am fine with him transferring. Good luck to him.

I’m sorry this didn’t work out but the handwriting was on the wall. I figured he would be the one to move on. He’s had a tough life and moving from place to place is not uncommon to him. He was removed from his mothers care at a young age and bounced around in foster care from family to family. It’s a traumatic experience living with all your worldly possessions in a hefty garbage bag. Eventually he ended up with a grandmother who lacked resources and where he never had a bed. He slept on a mat on the floor for years.

This kid is very talented and he just wants to play. He may have trust and commitment issues but he can tote the rock. I hope he gets another chance somewhere to show what he is capable of.

Yep you hate hearing stuff like that but I wonder if someone not getting through to him will end up ruining his life. He would have been better off just thanking everyone and moving on not to hurt his image with other teams if he is thinking of trying to stay FBS.

I do sense the Scarlett situation is rubbing some of these guys the wrong way however.

Good luck to him and his grillz.

Lemons is a guy with football talent, but a loser who threw away a golden ticket at UF and who soon will be bagging groceries or in jail.

Curious what the "real" reason is...

Honestly I think he just wants a chance to play. He really didn’t last year and hasn’t this year. As a pure runner he may be as good as any of the others but has been slower to pick up the important intangibles.

Shïts hitting the fan now. Can’t blame him. Loser coach on a loser team.
NV's post makes for a fascinating study in the new likes/dislikes hierarchy.

In the old days, we'd all graze over the numbers and see four likes and 10 dislikes and conclude the poor guy got a very negative reception.

But that's actually deceiving. Now that six of those ratings have been relegated to drunk, it brings an entirely new empathetic perspective.

Maybe the raters don't dislike NV for his post as much as they really seek to give him a pass for being wasted or hope he attends an AA meeting or two.

But, NV doesn’t drink so then how do you conclude that?

Lemons returned one kickoff and downed three others, so he did play.
The kid obviously has issues because most players would let the year play out, because anything can happen in what is hopefully a 13 game season.
I am fairly certain he will have to sit next year whether he stays the whole year or leaves now. It's just not a very well thought out decision and one he may already regret.

Yes, he did. In fact, right before KY was going to kick off to us around the 3rd time I told my buddies that even if the ball was almost to the back of the end zone I bet you Lemons will run it out. He hadn't had any run backs to speak of by then and I just knew that because he hadn't played RB at all this game or the last he was going to try to prove something no matter what. Sure enough he took the kickoff pretty deep in the end zone and tried to run it out when taking a knee would have been the wiser option.

He has had ONE kick off return past the 25 yard line in his entire career and yet he wonders why he doesn't get many chances at RB. He is not shifty at all and runs too upright. Still, good luck to him wherever he winds up, he deserves a break in life.

.....Also Lemons comment in the tweet clearly takes a shot at the new coaching staff.

Thing is... he announced he was transferring LAST YEAR too... under the old staff which he’s now complimenting. Mac nor Shannon gave him little to no chances. Now two games in, Mullen hasn’t either. Perhaps the problem is with the player and his attitude.?. And that’s why he’s at the bottom of the depth chart .?.

He was pissed Davis overshadowed him last year. And now it appears Pierce has passed him on the depth chart. After last years piss poor attitude, his announcing a transfer, yet again, is no surprise. I get being pissed a Mullen and everyone b!tch!ing about him. I get that. But don’t make this one about anything but a player with a sh!!t attitude quiting on his team.

By every account I’ve read his attitude does not seem to be bad. He is very popular with many teammates.

It seems more like the issue in all athletics these days...particularly youth sports: playing time.

As a long time coach I can tell you in the past 10-15 years there has been a tremendous growth in the amount of kids and their parents who say play me or I’m gone. Playing time issues are ruining youth sports and damaging kids who never fight to earn it.
