I am normally reserved and don't pile on coaches like some around here. But, I would really punch butters in the face if I saw him. Mullen has to change the culture quickly or we'll be stuck in limbo for years and years to come. My 7 year old daughter has more intensity when playing UNO then a lot of the players on the field. I hate what has happened to the once Mighty Gator football team. I just hope Mullen is the guy to do it, cuz I'd hate to have 5 coaches in 12 years. I ain't getting my hopes up.
That does not go far enough. I'd make him drink every damn drop of the warehouse full of Mambo he's got piled up somewhere, with no bread or water.

I don't want to rain on the parade, but I feel like this could be a lyric from the Bon Jovi song Wanted Dead or Alive where he says "only the names will change." Literally feel like the same stuff was said about Musdump and Ole YellaTeeth.

Or, The Who, "....meet the new boss.....same as the old boss!"

Perhaps KY is better than we think or expect. Perhaps some of our staff is not that great, after all we in two games have not learned to spy running QBs.

Chief I think that hits on my biggest grip, no adjustments. Two games where neither line look particularly dominant... but no adjustments at the half.

Maybe they just suck.
It's easy for us to say that the coaches didn't make adjustments, but maybe the players aren't good enough to execute said adjustments.
There's a plethora of reasons that we're not that good right now. You're not being thorough enough if you've singled out a single entity as the reason for our ineptitude. Most of our problems are multi-layered.

Hence why I said Biggest... there are multiple issues... but that is my biggest....

The players do just suck. We knew that when we stole several dozen of them from FIU and FAU.

But it is STILL a roster with top 20 numbers of 4 star or better players.

Mullinz cant act like this is Cowbell, Kintucky or Vandy and think he is going to survive more than 3 years while going 3-9, 5-7 then 6-6.

Our OL is just no good. Buchanan out of position, lets the LB through:

Out of position can be corrected, lack of talent not at all, and lack of desire very difficult. I really don't understand, all of our starters should have a desire to get to the NFL, if they perform poorly they lose a lot of money, so desire should not be a factor. Perhaps they are young and not aware, I can't understand that six year olds know this.

The lack of effort is totally unacceptable. Slow off the snap, standing around while a speed rusher streaks by you to kill your QB, the whole O-line standing near their original positions while all defenders are in our backfield tearing up the play. There is no relentless effort that Mullin speaks of so there is no buy-in to his message from either line. If they will not play football then bench 'em and take our losses while building experience for the backups. Cannot understand it, this garbage makes no sense at all but it's reality for this team. They need a good ass-kicking from the coaches, not another pep talk.

Honestly, our talent is so bad, whether from misses in recruiting or misses in development. I truly feel we have to give him three years. This year is a dumpster and hopefully he’ll show some improvement as the freshmen develop and hopefully seize more PT. Next year will depend on Emory and/or Jalon. So maybe by year three we can start being competitive across the board.

Even tho recruiting is subpar, he does appear to recruit QB well, and that position can mask some other deficiencies. But, Hevesy may not have enough talent until year three to really have a decent OL. The young guys will need some time to develop physically. It’s not like they’re going to pull in Leatherface.

Edit: caveat being that we see improvement

Horrific problems were left by McElblame.
And with more money $, Mullen brought in nobody better than MSU staff?
Wait 3-4 years for Mullen to get players to fit him, then accept highly Mull-functional 7-5 seasons ?
Welp ... tomorrow's a different day; let's hope for different team & different coaching results.
Two games is way too soon for us to realize another fireable Offense has occurred.

I watched the BSPN profile of the 1992 SEC Championship Game, Gators vs Bama. It’s just crazy how a Gator team from 26 years ago would destroy our current Gator team. 26 years of expensive budgets, facilities, dorms, huge staffs, recruiting budgets and all kinds of technology. To go significantly backwards over at least the last 26 years, probably longer.

Talked to an insider today and guess CeCe Jefferson isn't just grades. Yesterday was the first day he went to class all semester. He's checked out and ready for the draft next year. Leaving after fall semester....Mac just created an environment of laziness and no accountability
lol good luck, hes not even good enough to play much. too thin, not strong enough, can stop the run, purely situational player at just the college level, and thats when hes really working hard at it. #bust

He has never acted like that.

If he wanted that job security he would have stayed at MSU. He wanted to go to the next level and you can do that at UF. Doesn't mean he doesn't have obstacles to over come like UGA'S ten 5 star signees.

He was on a warmish seat after the South Alabama loss and would have gone to the hot seat after the next loss to Matt Luke.

Out of position can be corrected theoretically but mental capacity is a skill just as physical skills...maybe they aren’t that bright? Maybe like Franks they struggle to recognize what’s happening and adapt.

I was there, we don't have any players like Tebow, or any of the other great players that were on that team. Get some of those players and then improvement will happen. And you can't buy them or just convince them to come.
