Everybody that's clamoring to see Trask. I'll remind you what his HS coach said about him:

"We run a wide-open spread offense with a lot of zone reads and quarterback runs that Kyle couldn’t do. He’s truly a pro-style quarterback."

I honestly don't believe anyone thinks Trask is the answer....that said, I don't think Franks is an option QB either.

I thought he should have pulled Franks after the Personal Foul call...and played Trask AT LEAST for a couple of series.
Dude, you might wanna start rooting for EJ. Trask will never be what some seem to think he is.
I'm reading through all the posts on here seeing nothing but evidence to support my argument.
Every time you come up with a reason Franks should be pulled, you're confirming that the coaches have 0 faith in Trask. Franks is our QB until EJ is ready. That much, is as clear as day. When Trask comes in the game, we go HEAVY run. Clearly he's not getting Trask ready to run the offense that he's running with Franks. Pay attention to Mullen's actions towards Trask and not his words. It becomes painfully obvious that Trask was never an option.

If Trask was anywhere close to ready, don't you think we would have seen him at least for a drive against Kentucky in the second half just to see if there was a spark?

More like if Trask was ever an option. I for one don't believe he was even close to being a starter here now or ever. Franks is there because he is the best option till eventually one of Mullen's guys are ready to go in a year or two

That’s what I’m worried about. Does he think he can transform Franks beyond this year? To the point he starts him next year too? Should be open competition this offseason

Gonna be hard for EJ or someone to unseat him next year barring injury or complete implosion. I look at Franks this year and think if he can continue to improve, albeit slowly, by next year he should be an okay QB....

EJ gotta get his body ready but I do believe he should have a good chance if Franks stays at where he is at

Trask was a camp arm, that got forced into being a backup due to poor roster management. This isn't like when Spurrier had to roll out Brindise, because of injury.

Trash is working hard and looks better than I ever imagined, but he is also slower than RJ Raymond. Hopefully this year he will find a lower division team that runs a prostyle that gives him a chance to play.

My old coach would pull you for the game if you had any unsportsmanlike or personal foul penalties after the play. He didn't care who you were, who we were playing, or how much time was left in the game. And he made that fact well-known from day 1 of preseason camp. Take a guess how many of those types of penalties we had. Spoiler alert: it wasn't many.

I think it is more that most people think it is now established that Franks does not have "it" to be a QB at this level. People do not know that Trask does not have "it" for sure.

Neither may be an ideal spread QB. But someone with the moxie, poise, football instinct to play QB would be a better at leading UF's offense even if he is not ideal for this offense.

Chris Leak was a great spread QB.

SNE. :)

One guy on TOS said we would never win the SEC with Chris Leak as QB. He had a pretty good NC game against OSU. He was smart, high football IQ, nice arm, accurate, didn't run well at all, 99% of the time he handed on the read option, slid short on third down, etc. Most thought we wouldn't be good again until he left. We won a lot of ugly games in 2006. Lost an ugly one too.

Nobody knows how Trask is going to look under fire. I like what I have seen so far although it's limited. I am also not at practice everyday either.

I have coached some practice all Americans that fell apart during live fire. Couldn't think or take the pressure. He looked good in practice because of the no contact jersey.

We execute live fire exercises in the Army as part of regular training. ****s a little different in combat when people are on the other side shooting back.

Gawd I hope so.

Let's say for the sake of argument that Franks continues to progress to the point of being a "good" QB. I don't think he's in danger of a Heisman run next year. EJ, being the unknown, hopefully is going to be a better than "good" QB. So hopefully we have a serviceable QB in Franks next year but EJ pushing him and taking over.
