A couple of cool cams.....one from the Frying Pan rig off North Carolina.

This one is an underwater shark cam, I presume from the same rig--not sure. Fish are swimming by as usual, although sometimes debris or something comes zipping by I guess due to turbulence--and rather fast. Never know what will come by today.

I just watched a shark go sideways through that water

They seem to otherwise be just normal, other than the occasional strong push of current.

This thing is just getting started to beat up the NC coast and this is common up and down the beach already.

Latest from NHC. It's forward speed is only 10mph---nearly stationery. It's slowing down and appears to be starting the stall.

Let the rains really begin now.

Video of swaying pier at Atlantic Beach, NC. Live cam I think so it's just gonna run on and on....the swaying seems to start around the 57:00--one hour mark....noticeably swaying around. I can't imagine it will survive.

Tilly hit on the big negative of bailing prior to these storms arrival. Once you leave, you're not getting back to your property until the local constables are damn good and ready to let you back. Also a lot of shelters and motels don't allow pets.

Just updating. Eye passed over.
Lost a tree on my mother in laws car....busted her back window. We cut up the tree and tarped the car during the lull. Back half is reving up now and may prove the toughest part for our local beaches...after the ones north got pounded yesterday.
