Look at all these post-Tebow UF QB's who have never lost to TN...

FSU seems to play better usually when we both suck and its a road game. Tenn is a train wreck like us but that is a road game also so I would say 50/50 to beat Tenn and maybe a 33% chance we beat FSU as they might be able to win the game with their defense getting turnovers etc. despite having "lethal simplicity" on offense.

Seriously, sorry you missed the game.

1. UF played Colorado State who have the give up the 111th most yards in the nation and the 112th most points.

2. Against this team UF's offense scored 31 points or maybe 28 points.

3. UF's first two scoring "drives" were 4 plays, 4 yards, FG and 4 plays, -2 yards, FG. That seems like a little trouble moving the ball to me.

4. UF opened the game with the following results on the first four drives 3 plays 6 yards, punt, 4 plays, 4 yards, FG, 4 plays 18 yards, pick, 4 plays, -2 yards FG.

5. UF then opened the second half punting on its opening two drives.

6. Again this is against the 111th yards defense in the country despite playing UF in a game where circumstances led to UF running only 44 plays.

As for Pierce he broke one 68 yard run when the game was out of reach and was ran 4 other times for 19 yards. Let's see if he actually can do something like this against an SEC defense.
By my math, 4 other times for 19 yards is almost 5 yards a carry....I will take that production everyday. Count me in as a pro-Pierce.

The next 9 games should tell us a lot about how good this team is.

Well, I've had it. If we lose to 10rc, cancel the season, discontinue football, turn Steve Spurrier Field into a marching band competition venue and start actions to join the Ivy League.

Ok one down, one to go. I mean, it would be awesome to beat Georgia, but I still think it might take six turnovers to do it. Stranger things have happened. So, how do you feel about the FSU game now? Keep the following in mind:
  1. Except turnovers and score, the statistics for this game we're actually pretty close between UT and the Gators, unfortunately.
  2. Did the Gators cause those turnovers? I'm sure they had a lot to do with it. I'm just not sure they can repeat it.
  3. Kentucky actually has a good football team, apparently. So they are going to beat some other teams, too, besides the Gators. So now that game does not look so bad.
  4. Franks threw some very good passes in that game. I'm talking about passes down the field. Long passes. On target. By the end of the season, this guy could be really good. Maybe.
  5. FSU is having a very bad year. Their suckage is very consistent. At least the Gators have shown that they can play well for a complete game and destroy Tennessee.
I still say the Gators will beat FSU and I thoroughly enjoyed that beat down of Tennessee. Still not sure how the Gators will measure up against other good teams, but I see some hope. Trouble is, the other teams will improve throughout the season, too.

What do you think?

Yeah, we caused the turnovers.
