I think Snell goes undrafted. I really don't see much talent there at all - he probably runs a 4.7 40 yard dash.

Reading their forums, already some of the MSU fans wish they offered Mullen 7mill to stay, yet many here still claim he was a dud there, and no body wanted him.
Mississippi is the smallest and poorest state in the SEC shared by 2 SEC teams. It will be hard for any coach. If Saban and Mullen switched schools when Mullen was at MSU then Mullen would kick Saban's ass.

FWIW, ESPN'S FPI gives us about a 36.5% chance of winning next weekend.

Really it is a combination of all that has been mentioned. KY is a better than the usual product they put on the field. Loaded with upper classmen that have been in Stoops' system and he's got a decent team. Not a championship one. Cowbell a bit overrated. Mullen has UF playing as a complete team. Offense isn't the strength but use D and ST's to set up a young and identity searching offense to find itself. If UF plays a game like last night they should and could very well leave Starkeville with a win.

All this says is we have a chance next week.

UK has a pretty good line - Both O & D.

If we play like we did in the 1st Half we can win...3rd QTR not so much

What in the eff is good system experience?

Despite being dismissed, Byrd's "good system experience" has this validity:
1) There are several good FB-systems installed by several good coaches.
2) Mullen has a good system and apparently Stoops has evolved a good system.
3) Stoops has had 5 years at UK to inculcate his players in that system = experience for all.
4) Mullen has had one fourth of 1 year to introduce his good system = inexperience
6) Stoops/UK took his good system experience & beat Mullen's good system inexperience.
7) UF, game by game, is getting better by getting experience.
8) It's all study/playing experience supplemented by pulling in targeted recruits - takes time.
9) I think byrd was saying this is how we get the turnaround on it's way?
{ Sorry byrd if I've been presumptuous}

Looks like we're going to be about 7 point dogs, I like our chances to beat that spread. We'll see about winning.

I guess Miss State fans are missing Hevesy. There is a thread on 247 on the subject linking back to Miss State's 247 forums.

We came out flat, over-confident, and undisciplined against Kintucky. We missed 20 tackles that resulted in 168 yards. Without those missed tackles, they gain 135 rush yards--and that is not considering that TOP that was taken away from our offense.
Without those additional yards that were a result of missed tackles, we would have had more time to execute plays on offense.
This team cannot afford to miss tackles and give up big plays--our offense needs all the help it can get as we grow through the process.
And that's what we saw last night--an aggressive defense playing with intensity and making plays.
If we played Kintucky next week, we would beat them like a rented mule.

.That was possibly the biggest improvement I saw last night...tackling. They were taking guys down one on one and hitting pretty damned hard, too.

If UK can get past A&M, the have an outside shot of winning the East. UGA is not as good this year as last and their offense stalled against Mizzou. Very real chance they lose to both LSU and Auburn. That leaves UK in a very good spot. Bama is going to steamroll this year, so it doesn't matter, but I'd like seeing UK in the title game if we can't go...and we can't this year.
