I know its early. I know I have bytched about us hiring Mullen but darn it man, the guy is doing it right so far. I hated losing to Ky but hopefully we are back on track now. That loss might have created a spark. I am almost on the Mullen train. God I hope he turns this thing around! Go Gators!

You should be permanently banned for polluting this celebration with the stench of that yellow-toothed cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shyte.
Hallelujah. Holy $h*t. Where’s the Tylenol?

The one Meyerism I’m really glad Mullen brought back was the players singing the fight song after wins. The more they feel pride in the school and program, the less likely they are to quit mid season a la 2013 and 2017.

And the “4-6 seconds as hard as you can go every play” mantra. Another good one wrapped up in his “relentless effort” saying.

And more actual in game coaching and improvements. Did the last coaches ever do that?

Took the hint and tuned in the sec network to see the Exodus. Enjoyed it and caught a new detail--one play from scrimmage into the second half, a UT fan looks at his watch as if he suddenly remembered an appointment. ROFL.

I noticed that as well. I could be wrong, but I think his friend to the right(our left) signals "let's go" immediately following the score, to which this guy replies with some form of "already? Dude it's only..."

Clearly a seasoned vol who's seen enough to know what's coming, and a new guy who doesn't yet quite know the nature of this series. I imagine the guy on the left won out and they were halfway through their second round of "chugging" by the time Pierce went for 47.

The players have been singing the fight song after wins for the Chump and Mac years. The players are now singing the fight song after losses as well, which is what was missing over the last many years as they would head straight to the locker room after a home loss.

I don’t remember them singing the fight song at all in the Muschamp/Mac years, but I’ve also blocked a lot of those years out.

Must.... resist.... falling.... for.... another.... crap.... coach.....

But it is harder than I thought.

It's not a crap coach that I was worried about falling for. I don't think Mullen is crap, I'm worried he's our Richt. I really hope he gets this recruiting thing figured out ASAP because I'd love nothing more than to be wrong about Mullen.

Yeah, they'd do it after wins, but stopped after losses. Even that, I believe was hit or miss. As you pointed out, the team element and camaraderie that it builds was evident during his era, as was the selfish, undisciplined behavior that surfaced under Muschamp and carried through to McElwain.

The pic below was following the 2012 Sugar Bowl loss. Kitchens, one of Meyer's 2010 holdovers, sang it alone. Shockingly, we only won 4 games the following season, had losses almost completely attributed to selfish nonsense, and watched underclassmen announce for the draft while still on the field against fsu.
