Yep, this has to be the biggest concerns for teams with this new transfer rule. Clemson now does not have Bryant as their backup QB and their entire season may have just turned on one play.
The path to hell is paved with the unintended consequences of rule changes.
It's still a good rule. With parity, injuries, 12+ game schedules, etc it's a good rule. Those transferring probably would have transferred anyway.
Interestingly, Hurts played today so he can't use the redshirt rule. I'm sure Saban had a bag drop made for that....and Dabo wishes he'd had a bag dropped.
