This was right after the UK loss as I recall. I've come around some since then (to say the least).

Great win today, one that I expected and predicted pretty accurately. Passing offense still needs a lot of improvement, but the defense is every bit as good as we expected before the fist couple games gave us doubts.
I'm sorry I must have you confused you with someone who was adamnt that Mullen was a bad hire, couldn't beat teams with better talent and wasn't capable of improving week to week.

I had DM pegged as a sort of nerd who could not relate to these kids. Instead it seems like he gets them jacked up and they really fight for him. Recruits are getting to see that interaction now and I think it’s going to begin paying off with recruiting.

He’s also bringing the fan base back to the Swamp. Deafening is what I keep reading.

2 strategic moves that are a big part of coaching success beyond the x’s and o’s

One day folks will forget he ever coached anywhere else.

has met every demand/expectation we (fans) had of him when he was hired. Is laughing at every Chip Kelly, Scott Frost apologist on this board.

Surprising me. It's no secret I did not want him. I guess I can piss off then because he's doing a great job.

Mullen is the real deal. I think when he got the call about the job he took out a pad of paper and started coming up with his plan. It's obviously working: he's got this group playing past their potential right now. It feels like he's building a winning atmosphere. If he can land some choice recruits the Gators just might be all the way back.

As much as some (or many) here hate Urban he was the mentor for Dan. Urban is an organizer and attention to detail guy. Dan has that. Dan also realizes when the games start the game plan cannot be static. He understands adjustments MUST be made and he is making them. To say I am impressed would be like saying I like people. I was happy when Dan was hired because I knew he had a serious connection to our program, understood our culture and coached with one of the top 3 coaches in this sport. I had no idea he would bring this team together this quickly and bring about improvements all across the team so well. Listening to the call in show last night you could feel the joy, young and old, from the callers. There is something in the air here besides cooler mornings. If you were in there last night you felt and damned sure heard it when LSU had the ball near the end of the game. Old school showed up last night for the honors and the new team showed they could emulate them.

Dan Mullen is overpaid. How many freaking times did we hear that moaning and groaning leading into the season?

To which I say five wins by Oct. 7 is priceless.

Dan is off to a good start. I was in “wait and see” mode when he was hired and remain there. After getting bitten by too much enthusiasm during 2012 (Chump only needs to improve the offense - everything else is awesome!) and after the Ole Miss game in 2015 (this Grier kid is going to win the heisman and Mac might actually pull us out of the Chump tailspin!), I’m not going to do anything other than enjoy the week to week and hope to see continued progression. The potential weakness (similar to hoping Chump would figure out points were important or Mac figuring out.... how to coach?) is still recruiting - per Rivals, the average quality of the last class and current one is better than what Chump or Mac achieved but still lags behind where Urbs had it. Also, Dan needs to retake the state very soon - can’t keep missing on the top locals.

Is it too soon to look at beating the dog humpers from Athens? When we do, are we considered back?

3 out of the 4 highest rushing SEC QBs of all time were largely under Dan Mullen. Yet he also found a way to win with a Pro style QB. I think he is onto something.

Give me all the dislike's you want but isn't this you?
Mullen will never succeed because of the simple fact that he's a loser. He will almost certainly be fired in 3 years, and then we will have another chance to try again. Until then we'll beat the cupcakes, have a few decent wins, and a boatload of disheartening losses with our teams reflecting their leader.

It’s not my money. Nor the moaners.

He sure as hell didn't win anything with Nick Fitzgerald. What a turd of a one trick pony QB.

We gots to win some big games like last night to get the recruiting rolling.
