The Chargers are already set to lease a stadium owned by another teams owner...Stan Kroenke owns the Rams and the stadium that the Chargers will lease.

The problem with the article is that if Cline is telling the truth, the FA won't sell Wembley thus he'll be unable to move the jags. One can't believe Cline about this and think he is nuts about the corruption charges against Khan.

This may be UnAmerican, but I think sports owners should face different rules. That team belongs to Jacksonville. The city worked for decades to get a team. Thousands of people invested time and effort. Taxpayers and tens of thousands of fans have invested a generation into them. One selfish dude should not be allowed to ruin it.
"You didn't build that."

Hey man. I get it. It goes against my principals in every other case.

It just seems like teams are part of a fabric of a community.

The Packers have it right.
The Packers' situation is indeed unique. Green Bay's population doesn't even match Gaineville's. The franchise could not compete financially without the the creation of a public trust to own and operate the team. It works there.

That unfortunately -- or fortunately, depending on your point of view -- isn't going to happen elsewhere. Sports franchise ownership is like big-game hunting. It's for deep pockets, for the love of the kill and for guys with Texas-sized egos.

Khan fills the bill.

During my lifetime, football has evolved from a relatively simple game played on Sundays to a multi-billion corporate entity, thank you very much network and cable TV.

The whole thing's been bastardized to no end and yet we let it happen. Many fans on this board insist they've stopped watching and yet we hear that the owners are making more now than ever.

That makes the Green Bay example even more special.

I doubt the NFL will ever move a team to Europe for reasons already mentioned, but if they did they would move at least 2 to ease up schedules.

Imo this would be an excellent move on his part. The games sellout and Europe as a market>>>>Jacksonville. The team name will probably stay the jags or changed to the knights

I live in Jacksonville
I held Season tickets for 6 seasons.

Jags standing for God Save the Queen and the team!! , taking a knee for our National Anthem, is unforgivable.

I will NEVER support these overpaid crybaby anti American social activists again.

Move to London
I could care less.
If I EVER get a chance to vote against anything having to do with helping the Jags or the NFL, I'll cherish that moment.

F the jags
F the NFL

Something else about this story. Even if the sale goes through, which is still in doubt, the FA has to approve of the Jags moving to Wembley. Based on reports, the FA wouldn't allow it. Too many people against it. While the NFL has a small following in Europe, more dislike it. They certainly don't want an NFL team based in one of their futbol stadiums.

Who knows, Khan may want Wembley to prevent the Glazers, who already own ManU, from getting it first.

Jacksonville draws well, spends, competes. It's on an up trajectory. Tampa Bay, it just ... exists. The Bucs could move to Liverpool tomorrow morning and no one would notice.

The London uber drivers would....

I can't see the other owners approving the move, too much negative in travelling to London for the 31 other teams.

Do you have enough self awareness to realize that the catchphrase under your name (defender of freedom) and getting whiny about players kneeling are polar opposites?

Just curious.
