I wasn't able to watch the game live, but I did check scores on my phone when possible. I'll admit that I didn't think we'd win when I saw 21-3 but had a change of heart when they were down 8 at halftime. Gotta give credit to Mullen to motivate this team to keep fighting and to not let them get distracted with the negatives or bizarre. That said, the come back would have been much more difficult if Vaughn hadn't of gone down. This was one of the best offensive games all year minus the turnovers, so I think we would have still pulled it out. Just not cover the spread.
I think it's obvious that Mullen is better than the last two bozos, but I personally need to see a top 5 recruiting class before I'm completely on the train. Statistically you got to have it in order to win a naty. But it's very possible that we may go into the uga game ranked in the top 10 and/or finish the season in the top 10, which is quite an accomplishment. I think we'll enjoy offense and wins with him for awhile, but if he doesn't produce championships then many will get tired of him in year 4 or 5.
While I still have some doubts, I'm enjoying the wins and pulling for him to succeed. This team is fun to watch again, and it's been 9 years since we could say that.
