Itraz has to have the last word.... but he's good for traffic.. :catfight:

And perhaps good for the ignore list as well. Sure we have a diversity of opinion, but some have a diversity of objective evidence. That is difficult to read.

...I personally need to see a top 5 recruiting class before I'm completely on the train. Statistically you got to have it in order to win a naty.

Not true! UCF won one last year. (Just don’t bring that up outside the 407.)

So I guess you didn’t like it when SOS was calling plays at Florida. On game day he empowers his coaches. Throughout the week, he seems to manage the team. I’m okay with that. SOS wasn’t any different and he did okay around here. BTW, Spurrier also had a “scheme” when he coached. It was an attack that no one had seen prior to him.

I lived there for 23 years. The only common bond I have with UT fans is our mutual hatred for Vandy. Their bush league facilities, their cashing in on the proceeds of other people's commitment to athletic excellence and their generally snotty attitude render them totally insufferable. To follow up on comments by the broadcast team, what are they doing with all the money they get from the SEC? They sure as hell aren't putting into facilities.

Vanderbilt has a $4.1B endowment, for their 12,000 student school. By comparison, UF’s endowment is $1.6B for the 55,000 student school. To be fair, they don’t need that SEC money.

Oh, and just for shyts and giggles....FSU’s endowment is $0.7B for their 42,000 fast-food training center.

You've harped on Mullen for being one-dimensional for months. Doug Dickey was one-dimensional. Bo Schembechler was one-dimensional. The game I watched yesterday, with an almost perfect balance of passing mixed in with running and the playcalling being varied beautifully, was about as far from one-dimensional as I've seen.

At the end of the day, all football plays begin with the quarterback taking a snap from the center and either handing off/pitching out, running or passing. If that's one-dimensional, then I'm a huge proponent of it.

Agree, and then some. The offense package & play calling has varied significantly from game to game. So has defense. So has special teams.

I thought pissing contests was under the auspices of bulldogs and cats. Be that as it may there are only three postilions to take: you either embrace Mullen, have a wait and see state of mind, or you are convinced he's set up to fail miserably. I was a wait and see and hope for the best. But I have moved to the total embrace because of what he's done with talent that has no business winning the games they have won. Now, does that mean he will be a decent recruiter? I don't know. Could that be a weakness that eventually dooms him? Possibly. Zook was a badass recruiter who was a lousy game day coach and couldn't stay away from frat row. Mullen is an badass game day coach who won a game yesterday that Zook, Muschamp, and McElwain would have pissed away. SOS and Meyer are bad assed game day coaches who could recruit. THAT is a rare animal. Those are the ones that win natty's. Let's see what Mullen can do on the recruitment field. If he get's us to a national championship game that's when we'll know. But until then I'm having fun. But watching others pull out their keyboard johnson's for a measuring contest is sometimes part of the dynamic and sometimes even funny. You gotta love forums for that at least.

Wow. Superstar Heisman winner? I'm gonna chalk this up to the alcohol. F Vandy. We moved the ball most of, if not the entire game on them. They had 176 yards with their best player on us. They were averaging 5+ yds a play. After he went out, they couldn't do anything. BTW, ESPN showed that graphic, not me. I never said he played defense or we played poorly outside of the turnovers in any thread. We're 6-1...enjoy it instead of acting like this.

Lol. I’m a pumper....I enjoy every minute of this. As I’ve said repeatedly...it’s part of the game. Man down-man up. Nobody including our own fans ever excused our injuries. It’s a tough sport. We would have beat them no matter how great this guy is. How about enjoying that?

Traz is a such a damn broken record. Yes, Spurrier lost to a less talented team in his 10th year at Florida. He lost to a less talented team just about every single season at Florida. Your revisionist history is beyond laughable. Meyer lost to 5 teams with less talent in his 6th year at Florida. You’re argument that Mullen will beat lesser talented teams and lose to more talented teams is already in the shytter with a win over LSU. You are dead wrong about everything. Just shut up man.

It’s not about calling out, it’s just sad to see how some would much rather prove to be right about Mullen than actually want florida to succeed. And midway through October, there’s nothing these idiots can do to retract their stance now. They’re wading in water ankle deep and still finding a way to drown

That's a daring stance. Tell me what Saban or Meyer's record is against teams with more talent.

Don't look now, but I'd say almost everyone in the CFB universe would probably agree that LSU has better overall talent/depth than UF. And if we do go on to beat UGA or the SOW, that will make two or possibly three wins against teams with better talent/depth - all in his first year on the job. And don't forget, we were a solid dog in Starkville, due to the supposition of superior talent at MSU. That may or may not be the case, but it was absolutely viewed as being true before that game.

This "can't beat a team with equal or better talent" stuff may have had some validity when DM was at MSU. But clearly, competing in the west during that time frame was not easy. Beyond any reasonable doubt, DM has grown dramatically as a HC - and UF definitely isn't MSU. Stay tuned. It may well turn out that DM knows more about what it takes to be a successful HC than his detractors will ever suspect. Just sayin.'

No reason not to enjoy a huge come back or pump. I was in the chat box yesterday saying we were still going to win even at 21-3. Never really had much doubt.

Injuries ARE part of the game. I'm sure we still win even if he had stayed in the game. Underneath this great win, the fact is they were gashing us for the first 1.5 quarters with their RB.

Our offense was only stopped by ourselves. It's exciting to see a great offense again. Mullen seems to be getting better at getting our playmakers involved. You see one little negative and jump all over it acting like I'm saying we suck or something. IMHO, you are overreacting. This is the last thing I'll say about it.
