Outside of Tebow and walker, I'm not sure any one player caused as much damage--physical and mental--to the opponent in this series as RFN.

The reason Massoquoi was scared was because of having to get his face stitched up after Nelson's hit in 2005(6:00 mark below) and then the penchant that Reggie developed for decleating anyone in the secondary.

After the alligator arm play, the cameras catch him pointing and laughing at MM.

Whipped puppy, indeed.

As much as we would like to have another Tebow playing for Mullen someday, I'm longing for another RFN to grace us in a Gator uniform again. He sure caused some physical and mental damage to mASSaquoi as well as whoever we played during Nelson's short 2 year presence on campus.

Unfortunately, with the new rules, I'm afraid he'd play a total of about 7 quarters in a 4 year span now, and be party to a dozen or so law suits by the time he hit the draft.

I was at that game, one of my favorites!

I graduated HS in 1988, I saw a lot of losses to UGA in the 80's. I despise them! Growing up back then, most kids were UF of UGA fans, w/ a sprinkling of FSU, Miami, or other random school - but most were UF or UGA. I took a lot of sh*t as a kid after those losses! So those two wins were big for me as a kid! I loved those Kerwin Bell teams.

Is it just me, or did we witness a ton of UF and Dwag(yes, Dwag) fans quickly become FSU and Canes fans starting in 1987? Vince Dooley was not averaging the 9-10 win seasons like he did in the early 80's and UF was feeling the effects of the 2 year probation. This is what I mentioned in many different threads how I witnessed a sudden rise among FSU and Miami fans. The UGA fans I've been around during the 90's are the ones I didn't mind hanging out with.
Before 1987, I only saw a sprinkle of Semen Hole and scUM fans.

No question. I spent about much of my youth in northern Florida and can absolutely vouch for that. During the 80's, there were uga fans everywhere. By the beginning of the 90's, those same fans had suddenly become noles. Their common theme was that they hated UF and were generally trash individuals. So it was seamless. May come as a bit of a surprise, but I was pretty outspoken as a kid, and would routinely call them out on their garbage. To this day there are connections between the two fan bases.

My experience with canes is that most have been pretty faithful to their team. Rather than switch teams, they usually just die down when things go south for um, and then loudly resurface when the canes win a few, and/or when their prison term is over.

Our probation was a direct correlation to scUM and the semenholes rise....

grew up in Georgia in the 90's. The older people were always UGA fans. Most the younger people there that are now "diehard" UGA fans were Seminole or Hurricane fans in the 90s. Either way they are all still UNC, Duke, or Kentucky basketball fans.

‘93 for me. Walking down the ramp with a buddy and we’d stop every few feet and say, Time out! Where’d we park?! Time out! Who has the keys?!
Time out! Do we have victory stogies?! Hell yes we do!

84 by far! I was 10 my dad got like 200 Gator bumper stickers and gave them to my brother and "to have fun". We went around the stadium and put them on every Dog car/truck we found. We found the one car that had 15 Dog bumper stickers and not only every Dog sticker had a Gator one, but we put them on the Windows and windshield. A cop stopped us, called his buddy over, and they told us to get out of here and were laughing their asses off. After we curbed stomped them and were walking back to our car, we saw the owner (20 something punk) and he was pissed! Good times!

I have been in Jacksonville for all but a handful of WLOCPs since 1978. I am pretty sure that I don't clearly remember my best memories of those weekends.

Man.....you nailed it. It amazes me how bandwaggony they are when it comes to other sports.

Yeah. I'm still friends with most of the people I grew up with and only a handful are actually all sports fans. Those few are legit fans. The rest are just biding their time to cheer for someone else when they take a dip. The ones that are fans of other schools in basketball I can't even take seriously. The only guy that switched fandom that I understand is a guy who was a huge FSU fan growing up (one of those I have a distant uncle who played there type bs stories) and is now 100% Georgia State because he went there and does commentary on their basketball and football games. He's actually had a hand, albeit a little hand, in them trying to build that program there.
