Taven Bryan, 2014 Strongside defensive end - Rivals.com

Note that in addition to being a SDE, his primary recruiter was Lawing.

I could be mistaken, but I recall specifically he was recruited to play OL and they played him at DL because he was too light to play OL. I found a few mixed articles, but looks like he played both ways in HS and was recruited by many to play OL...but he wanted to play DL (good move on his part):

Here he's listed as a OT, the #45 ranked OT in the class:

Taven Bryan, Natrona County, Offensive Tackle

From an article when he committed:

Taven Bryan Commits to Florida: Gators Land Huge Athlete from Wyoming

At 6'5", 250 pounds, he has the wide frame and height to continue to develop into a monster wherever he lines up. He also has versatility, as he can stick to playing offensive line or eventually make the switch and become a defensive lineman.

According to Luke Stampini of 247Sports, the Florida coaching staff is open to him playing a number of positions.

"He said he's going to come get me," Bryan said of Muschamp. "They want me for defensive end, [offensive] tackle, tight end and I want to play defensive end."

Whoa whoa whoa.....are you using 247 as a source over Rivals for football?

Anybody know what Wiltfongs update was on 247 for Chris Steele?

He says UF looks like the leader...wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back in USC's class, or at Oregon. But CB's are looking like UF (w/ Oregon close). So, basically, not much that we don't know....

That's what I'm here for. Also to answer the donkey post. The 2011 Florida team had 10 non upperclassmen/non walkons on the team with the JRs/SRs it's 15.

So? Only a fvkktard tries to cut corners on OL in order to sign 6-7 DBs and 4 Bucks/Undersized DEs per year.

You sign about 25 per class and should sign 11+ 11 every year. One for each position. You have a few more to play with for kickers and needs due to injuries etc.

OL and DT has the highest percentage of injuries (probably RB too) and a very high rate of failure to develop. It is the hardest position on the field to play. It is why all winning coaches sign about 5 OL and 2 DT a year.

I guess you and your wife were amused by the sophistication and originality of the retort?
We were amused by the silly banter of message boards. I find it funny as hell and always have, no matter how old I get.

You should try it.

Hopper!

Hopper!

I am watching him play against Walton High School (they have the #5 WR) and Hopper is in on every play. this kid is the real deal. He plays like V. Joseph, only he's under control.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that I agreed with your argument. My congratulations were for the fact that you answered a snarky comment from me, not with more snakiness, but with a substantive defense of your position. I will say that there is more to your position than I thought when I first read it.
