I hated Macelwain’s hire after his introductory press conference but was wondering if he could prove me wrong by the time we started hearing about Grier on this site during the Mizzou game. We know what happened after. We seemingly got worse each week, including the FAU OT game.

Like many I also doubted Mullen, though different from Mac and not without hope that I was wrong from the beginning. Mullen has showed far more competence and improvement than most expected. If recruiting was killing it, I’d be with you 100% on this quote.

For on field performance, we already have more wins over ranked teams than the 2015 team. Beat the Dwags and we’d have more than Mac had over his entire time at Florida.

To clarify one small point, I had no issue with a prediction of 10-2, my pick was 9-3, which could still happen depending on how well we contain Mizzu's offense. What I did object to was a certain ass-hat who will go unnamed who stated that anything less than 10-2 would prove that DM was a bad hire. Which was, and is, totally unreasonable. For the record, I agree with you. DM has done a great job of re-inventing the team culture and making maximum use of the talent he has to work with. Depending on how things play out, the NHBC (new head ball coach) could indeed be the NCOTY. Like many others, my expectations have been greatly exceeded and I'm very excited about the future - Go Gators!

In every prediction thread since the summer I have also predicted a 9-3 record with a bowl win making it 10-3. Now I can see a 11-2 as possibility but not a probability. Dawgs and Missouri are tough games and the noles in tally will be fired up to salvage their season. We will have to battle to the final whistle of the final game. Nothing will be given to us. This is a great experience for our guys. We will truly be battle tested for 2019.

Our offense looked like shyt for most of the Tinerc game until that last drive, and in every other game that wasn't Mizzu.

It was Ole Miss we beat soundly that year and Grier killed it that game. Missouri was a win but not a totally comfortable one.

After seeing the Noles play so poorly this year...Mullen needs to win that game this year. I don't like the quote about treating UGA as any other opponent. Tenn, UGA and FSU games are rivalry games and have special meaning.
