I'm sure he'll catch Saban soon:headslap: and be remembered as GOAT.......by all of us....
His winning percentage is significantly better than Saban's. Significantly. And I think they are 2-2 head to head.

Wait....I thought all that mattered was trophy's? Besides Saban actually built 3 programs nearly from the ground up....MSU, LSU and Bama were all on the ropes when he took over instead of the gift wrapped box of goodies that Meyer calls dibs on....

I wouldn't call the teams Meyer inherited in Bowling Green and Utah the gift wrapped box of goodies. Meyer actually turned a 3-9 Bowling Green team into an 8-3 team his first season and followed it up with another 9-3 2nd season.

Good Lord you are hammered. Meyer had an undefeated season under his belt before he even took the UF job, and that Utah team certainly wasn't a gift wrapped box of goodies. Sober up.

I doubt you had such hate when he was our coach. Quit being such a jilted lover.

While Meyer was winning two NCs, he had a shrine set up to Bert in his bedroom. If only we had Bert, if only we had Bert...

I agree with what you are saying with the parts I omitted, as well as the part that I have quoted above. However, now that we are 10 years removed from the greatness that he did bring the program, we are still trying to crawl out of the hole that he left us in. Better put, imo, the hole that he and Foley left us in. I dont think there is much of an argument to that either. Credit is given where credit is deserved but one also has to take all the credit. And the entire tenure of Meyer at UF aint a bowl of cherries. 10 years of misery aint all Meyer's fault, that is on Foley ... but he gets credit for the dumpster fire he left ... and to have ill feelings toward the guy doesn't necessarily make someone a jilted lover, right? F@ck Meyer ... he aint our guy no more and I am always rooting against him after the way he left UF.

I just hope Mullen can get us back and want to stay a while.

It was FAR MORE Fooley than Leyer. Yeah, I know, the thugs were embarassing but if he had just canned Hernandez in January of 06, the rest was forgivable.

Fooley's reluctance to compete with Bammer was a big reason Leyer went to a place that will. "The state of college football" as Leyer said was widely attributed to Bammer paying players, but now we know more.

Hell, if Fooley didn't always shop on the discount rack the next coach was left with a huge amount of talent.

Not sure how long you’ve been around here, but Ox’s jilted lover comment goes way deeper than crete’s most recent comment. Dude’s got a serious grudge against meyer. I’m irritated with meyer too, but holy cow, it would appear crete lays awake at night wondering how he’s going to bash him next. Except that there’s nothing new to post - he’s a broken record.

Wrong.....I crowned Ox the "Jilted Lover" way back in the GSMB days and it led him and his Henchman Slevin to permaban me.....

Au contraire mon frere'....I believe it is you that pines for the return of Dirty Urban despite leaving you high and dry....Besides it is obviously painful to even you now that Whittingham, Mullen, Strong, Herman and Fickell were the true geniuses behind the Chinless Jerks success....

This is seriously the first time I've ever heard this story. The term "jilted lovers" when it comes to Meyer was coined by ME on the GSMB. It was meant for those people that not only hated and despised him because he left, they then suddenly declared he couldn't coach. In other words, people like you.

All of those arguments were dashed for good when Meyer won yet another NC, against Saban no less - the guy that supposedly "ran him out" of the SEC.

I pine for the return of WINNING that we had under Meyer.

:bwahaha:

If you are serious with this retarded comment then I feel sorry for you. I suppose I could say the geniuses behind Saban's success were Mac, Kiffin, Smart, etc.

Congrats, but I’m not referring to the origin of the term. Im talking about the hundreds of posts that reveal your bitter grudge towards urbs. NTTAWWT, except that we’re tired of hearing about it. Or maybe it’s just me.

He didn't leave a dumpster fire, not even close. We were absolutely loaded with talent and his last class was #1 in the nation. Foley makes the right hire, we don't have a decade of misery. Muschamp won a bunch of games completely with the ridiculous defensive talent that was left.

You want a real dumpster fire? MAC left a dumpster fire.

He loses one more and they'll be coming out of the woodwork.
