First all our QB’s would be better playing for the true QB whisperer.

2nd, Spurrier would have had a much quicker hook as suggested.

3rd, I see a comparison to some degree to Dean/Danny. Not that Trask is anywhere close to Danny but stylistically.

4th, our receivers would be more effective in a Spurrier offense.

The only problem Franks has with “emotions” is getting down on himself when not playing well. His two incidents earlier this year was bogus. One was a TD celebration on his own sideline with our fans and the other was having words with a dlineman after a hit. It was totally bogus. Neither penalty should have been called and Spurrier would have had his back on both.
"Getting down on himself" would be less of a problem if he didn't play badly so often.

he beat FSU by rotating Noah Brindise and broke records with unheard of Grossman. He could win the east with Trask

Unheralded Rex Grossman:
1998 Indiana Player of the Year
National Recuiting Advisor top 15 players in the nation
Parade All-American
Indiana's Mr Football
According to Rivals the 8th quarterback in the 1999 class

Mullen better make a change at QB or he risks losing a significant portion of the fanbase. We have seen Franks for 2 seasons now and we want change. Maybe Trask bombs s well, maybe EJ does as well but we are tired of seeing Franks bomb.

If I could change one thing about Mullen it would be his stubborn loyalty to upperclassmen

I'd bet money Franks trots out as the starter come Saturday

I think given time and the type of offense he ran, Spurrier could have done something with Trask.
Spurrier would have never signed a high school backup. Dont kid yourself.

Tim Lester hurt his knee and missed half the season. SOS told him he has a bunch of All Americans wanting to play QB, and he cant take the one that was hurt and didnt play his senior year over one of the ones who did.

He would never have Trash on the roster. I'm not sure he would have Franks. He looked for accuracy and winning attitude first.

I heard so much about Franks leadership qualities I am about to throw up. Leadership is not about hanging out with the guys and playing Call of Duty with them, leadership is about doing your job on the field and hitting those open receivers. Even your closest friends will leave you when you overthrow them time and time again or totally not see them when they are wide open.
I'm with you 100% on this. Leadership starts with being excellent yourself. You are "leading" the rest of the team in the right direction. If you are vocal and are great at the rah-rah stuff but can't do jack crap on the field, trade in your helmet for a skirt, because you are a cheerleader.

Those being led will determine who their real leaders are. Sometimes it’s the best player on the field....sometimes it’s not. But those being led will spot a phony a mile away.
