Franks thinks taunting own fans is the way to win them back

Good God, this isn't Pop Warner. Stop it with this "kids" nonsense. They are grown men.

When I was 18 or 19, I "thought' I was a grown man. But by the time I was 25, I could look back and see I wasn't. Maybe I was behind the curve, could be?

But I mostly think these players are immature minds in big bodies. Don't let the latter obscure the former.

I don't have any issue with you or anyone else thinking it's pathetic or classless. That's not the point. It's just reality - there will ALWAYS be pathetic and classless fans. My opinion is that a quarterback is a leader and the face of the team and should rise above it, especially when he's been playing horrible and the team has been losing in embarrassing fashion largely as a result of it.

That just it, it's not all Franks. The defense got gashed against UGay, Missouri, and some yesterday. Franks is part of the problem, but not all of it. Unfortunately, he is the "face" of the problem.

I still hate Grantham.

I don't know. EJ has played about less than a dozen plays this year and has either fumbled or looked shaky as a leaf on most of them and that's not a knock on him as he's still a first year player. I'm no Franks fan by any means BUT he may be the best option in Mullen's offense as long as he keeps running more often....if he plays and win vs. the Clowns I'm not gonna b!tch about him being out there even if it's not pretty...

I hear ya and very adult of you. But we have to have some down field passing. Please Franks, learn to throw.

I still hate Grantham!

In real life, Ox is such a kind and gentle soul. You should read the stuff his wife and friends write about him on FB. You'd think he was Mr. Rodgers or something by the way they gush over his compassionate ways.

For some alien reason, the fangs come out here.

This is why we need a chuckle voting button in addition to the like, dislike, etc.

Ideally yes of course in the future ANY kind of improvement in downfield passing will help this offense but it will never be a staple of this offense....I'd rather not find out if EJ is the guy against FSU as I believe we can out rugby them for a much need win.

Once bowl practice, spring practice and fall camp are done let the chips fall wherever they may.

As far as Grantham goes we may as well blitz our LBer's EVERY single down because they are useless in coverage anyway and that's not a knock on the players as much as "One Trick Puppy's" scheme. If you really watch the LBer's over the last 4 games when faced with an even average passing QB's they are lost and useless as tits on a Bull.....

I'm perfectly okay with him running when he runs like he did yesterday. The new FF punishes tacklers.
Mehhh he still did that half spin thing where he tries to back over the goal line once. He still scares me.

Maybe of he transforms himself in the weightroom over the winter he will be strong enough to stay square.

He is trying, no doubt.

Part of me likes Franks. I was disappointed that he unnecessarily created more criticism for himself. As far as the future, I want to see a different QB because the primary job of a QB is to pass the ball and Franks can't do it on an acceptable level of consistency.

This one has me divided. One the one hand I've been kind of pissed at times that he seems to not care at all. Clearly, he at least has some pride. He was reading it all week on social media and then got booed early on and that pent up emotion came blowing out when he scored. At the same time, part of leadership is understanding that you're always going to have critics and stay composed. I'm happy that he made the comment that he shouldn't have done it - but I can understand why a competitive guy might do it.

I really don't think we were getting schemed - just both of our best linebackers are still woeful in coverage and the secondary seems to be held together by nothing but bubblegum and bailing wire. Reese is never going to be good in coverage - I think he is just way too slow to be effective at our level of competition. Joseph seems to get lost. He was clearly responsible for some of the plays to the tight ends the last couple weeks. I wish we could put Reese's brain in VJ's body and make two copies.

When you're 6-5, you have a leverage disadvantage. Sometimes you twist to make a few more inches. What we saw yesterday was FF lowering his head and taking on tacklers. He won those battles. Put some more muscle on that frame and good things could happen.

Indeed we did. Why? Why did he suddenly quit being afraid of contact?

We going to turn the guy into Tebow? It isn’t happening.
