They never had 8 losses in one season with Jackson as their QB. They were 8-5, 9-4, and 8-5 with Jackson as their QB so yeah he couldn't win without him as their QB.

Last week there was a thread about that week's other games and one of my takeaways was that since Tom Jurich was no longer there, Petrino had no friends left at UofL. Fast forward one week and he gets canned. There is a part in the article that in this stint at UofL, Petrino was plagued by poor O-line play and awful defenses. Well those 2 positions included now or in the past Mike Summers (SUX), Joe Lee Dunn Jr. (SUX) and Brian Van Gorder (double SUX)

Fine. I’m not completely opposed to having him. I just think he’s overrated. And I’m not sure how many total jerk personalities we can cram into one staff.

I’m with Crete through. Durkin is going to be a steal for someone. We should lock him up yesterday for something. He can be a pillar in this staff and is an exceptional recruiter.

But whatever. Bring in Petrino if it will help.

I'd like to think Mullen was willing to cede control of the offense if it made us better. I doubt it happens. He's married to his own thinking.

Petrino's as close to SOS as anyone I've seen in terms of offensive mindset.
