I watched Mullen's post game presser which is something I don't normally do. But he commented about the lack of effort and intensity in the Mizzou game. Then Mullen said he didn't want to disparage Mizzou, but said UGly beat us twice. The players were hung over from that game. Interesting comments. His comments are at about the 8 minute mark on the youtube video.

I think after a loss to an over matched GA team and laying an egg against MO and being down by three touchdowns today, and getting them to come back and win is a positive sign.

It was almost like somebody flipped a light switch in the 4th quarter although some of that was Muschamp's incompetence....

Mullen has a seemingly wise way of sweeping up sawdust to press into constructive pressed-board.
Mullen may be having an epiphany of blooming-juggling modus operandi. And we all know what that means.

I really don't like these comments. I know he's not SOS but he would never say that crap to the media. There's something about his overall demeanor toward UGA that does not sit well with me. Beat us twice?

I don't mind it. We need to make sure games like uga and fsu are taken seriously, year in and year out. Losing to either any year should be unacceptable. One slip up or bad game against a UK or Mizzou doesn't hurt as much as a win against UGA helps from a standings perspective. These players need that fuel that these big rivalry games provide. The more Dan directs at uga and fsu the better

First rule of the road at Florida. Win the rivalry games. Second rule. Georgia comes first.

Spurrier and Meyer not only won the games -- well, SOS did have his struggles with FSU -- they each found a unique way to dis our rivals in the process, which added further to the experience.

Mullen has to win the games first, then he can devise some method of kicking them while they're down.

I just read this stat on cbs sports. I didn't know which thread it would fit in best. But maybe we need to start a thread about replacing the DC.
For the first time since 1917, the Gators have given up 31 points or more in three consecutive games. The DC is not doing a good job calling games after doing a great job vs msu and lsu.

I think the execution has a little to do with it... :dunno:

I'm ready to send that Dwag packing! Can't stand his demeanor, antics and play calling. Haven't liked him from day one.

Because our Defense is just littered with BC talent... Our DTs are nonexistant and our DEs can be chipped and neutralized by running at them. Doesnt matter what you do on the chalkboard, if you cant get penetration, your defense is gonna suck. Give the guy some time to get his guys then judge all you want.

I think the victory formation at the end of the game was a poke in the eye to the chicken hawks. Mullen gained some points with that one.

Two things for me. Like Mullen, I am willing to give Grantham some time with recruiting and see what he can do but the DB play and overall coverage packages MUST improve. We look like shyt in the secondary at times and get burned way too often in our blitz packages.

Like it or not Mullen is right about the ball lickers game, particularly after losing a game that knocks us out of SECCG contention. I've heard other coaches say the same thing including SOS, just not in the presser but on the practice field and in the locker room so coaches know. Whatever happened yesterday, it was a good sign and coming in here to find stuff to pick on is a little too pessimistic for my blood. You are entitled to your opinion but everyone should stop and think about where we were last year and what the possibilities are now. Beating FSU and playing on NYD is within reach. Who really thought that would be the case coming into the season? NOT ME!
