I think this play is overblown. We were playing Muschamp, AKA The Master of Disaster. He will always find a way to **** a game away in glorious fashion. If we don’t convert that 3rd down, they would have probably muffed the punt on 4th anyway. Losing is in his DNA.

Great post . Obviously this conversion was big for us . But I remain convinced muschamps
sorry ass would have found another way to blow it . He’s got to be the damn stupidest son of a bitch I’ve seen.

throws a dart to a receiver about 2 yards short of the marker that hits him and bounces straight up in the air and is caught by the receiver a couple of yards behind him, who falls for the first down.

The play went exactly as it was designed. No luck involved.

That's our Statue of Flipperty play. (Not often seen 'cause it's drawn up in invisible ink.)

Should have been a facemask, but what a crazy play.

The play needs a name for Historical Reference.

Any nominations?

Refs screwed us on that play. You cannot advance a fumble on fourth down. We should have gained possession at the point ball hit the ground.
Evidently, in their infinite wisdom, the NCAA wrote the rulebook so that there is actually a difference between a fumble and a "backward pass that hits the ground." The thing that made it a totally BS call was that it was a forward pass.

The REFS have sucked wind like Dyson Vacuums.

It was about time this year.

What about Franks taking a knee and still getting popped?

FG clearly good not being called...could have easily cost us a game.

And watch ANY Bama game and its obvious.

Didn’t see this mentioned... As FF scrambled to his right, I saw what looked like a (albeit minor) face mask by the DE before FF got away from the rush. Since there’s no longer a 5yd incidental face mask penalty, the proper call would be 15 yds and an automatic first down. So, everything balanced out and nobody got hosed on that play.

Oh it was clear his face mask was grabbed. You can see his helmet being pulled back then snap around forward after the guy let go.
