His problem is, he kept the cart for about 4 hours. That's too long if he was worried about getting caught. I had a friend who flipped a golf cart into a pond on the golf course one night. He got the hell outta there, had no problems. Another buddy took a cop car with lights flashing for a quick ride. Got the hell outta there, no problems - after the manhunt/dragnet died down. :lol2:

Uhh- yeah. Keys...

“...about 2:30 a.m., Parker Lee Prince, 26, found the $10,000 cart parked outside of south end zone of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, with its keys still in it, Gainesville police said.”

I’m sure he’ll blame it on the fact that the keys should have been put away.

He's a little old at 26 for college hijinks.

Hell, I'm 54 and I might have 'borrowed' that cart as well. :bandit:

Agreed. When the hell did it become amateur hour up there in Gainesville, anyway? You learn the "Get the Hell Outta There" rule on day one from whatever miscreant is teaching you the ropes about criminal mischief in your early teens. This idiot is 26, which aside from being way too old to be doing this stuff, is way too old not to know the "Get the Hell Outta There" rule. Sad.

I went to the 1994 Sugar Bowl game and stayed w/ a friend at Tulane. We were on the Tulane campus and there was a golf cart parked nearby, one of the guys I was with stuck a paper clip into the key slot and it started up. 4 of us rode on that thing for about mile off campus, then someone in the group had an epiphany that we could actually get into some trouble. We ditched it in somebody's front yard in that nice neighborhood near Tulane. So...we essentially used the "get the hell outta there" rule. Fun times. I don't remember much of that trip except Monty Grow decleating WVU QB Darren Studstill.
