This will be a return to the Swamp for me and my two youngest sons, something that hasn't happened since 2014 - I am encouraged by the lack of ticket enthusiasm and will be showing up to hopefully get some, "please, Lord, send someone to me to take these tickets before I throw them in the garbage" freebies for the three of us. Fingers crossed!
I’ll give you 2 if you want to just take your chances on finding 1.

Great? Come on man, I’ll give you amusing but no where near great.

Fun band! They had they’re place between punk and new wave. Planet Claire was my favorite; first song on their first album.
Bart was into the B52s back in the day (HS).

Nov. 27, 1982 I saw The Who at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando. The B52's and Joan Jett opened. It was a rowdy, wanting to hear rock and roll crowd. It was pre-"Love Shack" B52's. Bad combination. I've never seen a band get treated so badly, I saw real fear in their eyes. One of the chicks got hit in the stomach with a high top sneaker thrown on the stage. Doubled her over. They played a rushed 20 minute set and not even "Rock Lobster" could save them. And Joan Jett was gross and couldn't sing, imo. She hocked a giant loogi on the stage. The Who, though, were great. Think my ears rang for a month. Caught the flu from being in that mass of general admission people, was sick for two weeks. Ahh..memories.

They're from Athens and their music sucks. She's lucky it was just a shoe.

I had my B52s fan period along with Cheap Trick, the Cars, etc. But calling a band great is reserved for the greats and the B52s aren't ever going to make it on that list.

I was there, and like I mentioned to Bart, I was actually into the B52s at the time. But the crowd was just brutal. It was a stupid pairing for the Who, who even way back then were already a vintage act. Once the booing started there was no chance of turning the tied so they just got the hell out of there as quickly as possible. I don't even remember Joan Jett's set but the Who were great.

I figure, regionally, we're all pretty close but to have three [four] board members attend that same concert is pretty cool IMO. :grouphug:

Speaking of stupid pairings....Sonic Youth opened for Neil Young in Orlando in 1991....brutal

I was there too! The hightop sneaker stuck in the singer's bouffant hair. I remember she ran off stage crying. Terrible pairing of the B 52s with a crowd who was there to see The Who.

The Orlando Rock Superbowls were awesome. My favorite was The Rolling Stones and Van Halen. Now, THAT was a fantastic pairing. Back-to-back iconic bands. My contact high lasted for a long time.
