Help Napier pick the next OC

Another name to watch...Willy Korn. Napier coached him at Clemson. He's the OC for Liberty and they rank 11th amongst FBS schools in total offense.

Help Napier pick the next OC

I would not be surprised if Napier goes after a Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVey, Matt Lafleur, Mike McDaniel protege we know nothing about. FWIW…it might not be a sexy hire that would energize the fan base, but it would align with Napier’s vision for the program. And before we dismiss that type of...

Help Napier pick the next OC

He was fired because Matt Rhule wanted him to the run the ball more. What Florida needs is an upgrade in the passing scheme and the play calling. The run scheme is pretty solid. Put Billy’s run scheme together with Brady’s passing scheme and the offense could be pretty good.

He’s never coached QB’s, though. Joe Brady is at least getting experience coaching QBs and also has Russ Calloway on staff who has worked with him before. If not Charlie Weis Jr, then I’d like to see this: Brady as QB/co-OC - Passing Game Coordinator Sale OL/co-OC Running Game Coordinator...

Help Napier pick the next OC

Charlie Weis Jr. tops the list for me. Throw big money at him, and Gator nation will be very happy. He’s young, but people in football have crazy respect for him. He’s rubbed shoulders with the right people, including Kiffin, Sarkisian, his dad. Weis is the grand slam hire from a...

Georgia is in shambles: Star linebacker charged with rape

Georgia boards went into full meltdown earlier today when RB Justice Hayes committed to Bama. He's a UGA legacy, and their RB board is kind of looking like our LB board right now.

It looks like the crystal balls have started coming in projecting AJ Harris to UGA. But he's supposed to visit us very soon. So what happens?

Recruiting 2023 Recruiting Thread: 4* OT Caden Jones completes the class

Article from The Denver Post: Patterson is the nephew of former Eustis and UCF standout Joe Burnett, who played in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Patterson has yet to receive a UCF offer. The recruiting process for the 6-foot-2, 182-pound Patterson has started slowly for a couple of...

Drake London was a low 4* coming out of high school. Almost a 3*. This IMO will end up being a take that flexes the power of UF's new off-field staff. This is what they are getting paid for. If all we do is take guys who are already high 4*/5* according to 247/Rivals/On3, then Billy should...

Gators wide receivers coach Keary Colbert, Patterson's primary recruiter, has likened the prospect to a receiver Colbert coached at Southern California who is about to be selected in the first-to-second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Drake London. A great build at nearly 6'3", 180 pounds and...

Just watched his film. He is 6'2" according to 247, and 6'3" according to HUDL. Is a 4.5 guy according to HUDL. His HUDL reminded me a lot of Ardarius Stewart at Bama, and how they used him in the screen game. I'm willing to bet Napier likes the speed/size combo of this guy.

Talent level for next year: Grade it

This. Our DL next year should be the best we've fielded in years. McElwain didn't recruit DL well, and Mullen didn't recruit it well his first year with Sunseri as DL coach. However, the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes after that have for the most part repaired the damage from consecutive...

    Billy Napier's Wide Receivers

Having watched the GNFP film study of the Sun Belt Championship I don't think this is boring ground and pound. But I think our run game will trend towards the top of the SEC. UL had a really good ground game. They produced OL that were SEC caliber and draft worthy, and Juluke really coached...

    Billy Napier's Wide Receivers

I don't think it is all bad. Napier definitely throws the ball, but he's not getting WRs drafted like he has OL and RBs. Being able to point to a WR who had a really successful career in your program helps in recruiting. Does it not? Who would you point to that Napier's coached as a WR and...

    Billy Napier's Wide Receivers

2019 was Louisiana's best offensive season IMO. They were top 10 in the country in yards per play. And then in 2020 and 2021 the defense improved. So, Billy's got guys on both sides of the ball that are good at what they do. Billy only needs 2 guys to stand above the rest at WR. And right...

    Billy Napier's Wide Receivers

I watched it. I like the style of offense. It looks fun and creative, but there has to be a way to feature one or two WRs so we can get some guys drafted. What the distribution looks like the 1st season will be important IMO. If it looks anything like UL in 2020 or 2021 I don't think many...

    Billy Napier's Wide Receivers

I found a not so good trend. It probably will be used against Napier on the trail I imagine, but it is worth discussing. One of our critiques of Mullen's offense was he spread the ball out too much to the WR group rather than having 1 or 2 guys amass a lot of catches like Bama does. That...
