Too bad these stat ranks aren't x/100 scores - then we'd be doing pretty well. And the ones we did "poorly" at would more than be made up for with categories we got extra credit in (like scoring 129/100 in Opp 3rd Dn Conv %). Well, back in '05 it got pretty electric at the very end. Granted, at least 50% of the stadium had cleared out when we were up by 14 with only a few minutes left in the game. Exactly. I could pick a few things I hated. EJ coming in 2nd drive of Q3 is the easiest to hate in hindsight. But I understand why it was done. Also, some of the other EJ cameos seemed to throw Trask off a bit. Although, on that INT Cleveland was basically ridden like a horse the whole route...- gat0rjay

Can Franks hold on to the Number 1 QB spot?
Not exactly apples to apples. Miami lost 3 DB starters from the unit which put up those stats (Redwine, Johnson, and Jackson), not to mention their team leader in INT's - Dean (who played in all 13 games). So, this is a strawman stat line comparison.- gat0rjay

Well I don't really think I hold him to a higher standard. If anything, personally, I think I've given him more leeway trying to make sure I'm as objective as possible. I feel like I've lowered the bar of what I would hope a UF QB would be in order to maybe find a way to be content with Franks...- gat0rjay

I understand your points of view, but I see it the opposite way. A lot of the problem with the run game has to do with Franks. Miami often played riskier in coverage (and on one occasion got burned) to stop the run. It was the smart plan and almost worked. Miami highlighted our weakest point...- gat0rjay

Watching Franks play QB is beyond frustrating. Despite all of the sloppiness and shortcomings of the team as a whole last night, I can honestly say I feel like it could be an exciting, fun, and possibly even very high win season – if not for Franks.
