The Gamecocks picked up their second commit of the weekend when 2017 Rocky Mount (N.C.) linebacker Sherrod Greene committed, according to TheBigSpur.com.

He is commit No. 18 for the class and joins Athens (Ga.) Clarke Central safety Zay Brown as players to commit to South Carolina this weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pound Greene also had offers from Alabama, Cal, N.C. State and many more.

He is the No. 492 player in the nation, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
