Freshman year, 1982. Georgia game. We went into that game way, way over confident. Peace had been on the cover of SI, we'd beaten tough Auburn, USC and Miami teams, and we all just knew we'd kill no. 3 Georgia. The back of everyone's car had a "Hershel Eats Quiche" sign on it. It was our year, we all knew it, we were finally going to beat these turkeys.

Well Hershel "Eats Quiche" Walker rushed for 219 yards against us and 3TDs before sitting down for good in the third quarter. I watched our team get dominated in every phase of the game, physically outmuscled at every position, on their way to a 44-0 humiliation.

The game was played in a driving, freezing cold rain. I know this because I lost my voice at the end of the third quarter singing "We are the Boys" in the stands nearly alone. After the game, the humiliation continued as huge Georgia farm boys shoved and heckled my 118 lbs ass on the way out of the stadium.

Nothing, my friends, nothing, is more important to me in this world than a victory over UGA. We could lose 11 games this year and beat Georgia and I would consider that a great season. I hate them worse than the devil hates Jesus.

Swindle in the Swamp. I feel anger even now just thinking about it.

You must not have stayed until the end. You might recall that we beat Georgia the prior year, ending a six game losing streak, and our fans stormed the field and tore down the goal posts. The lack of police presence on the field allowed us to celebrate undeterred. By the time the 1985 game rolled around, the city got wise and lined the stadium with police in riot gear and drawn nightsticks. When Georgia won, the fans in the end zone pushed down the fence to crash the field. The fans in the front rows, who were well aware of the well-armed police presence in front of them, became reluctant participants in the aborted celebration, receiving a brutal clubbing at the hands of enthused law enforcement personnel. The police were swinging wildly at anything that moved, cracking skulls, etc.

I will tell you that there are times when opposing fans put aside their differences during a crisis and feel empathy and compassion toward one another. This was definitely NOT one of those times. It was beautiful to watch the Georgia fans' joy and excitement over their win turn into screams of horror, pain and agony as the police unleashed their brutal assault. It was almost worth losing to watch it all unfold before us.

By the way, this is a great lesson to all Gators to stay until the end of the game, even if we are losing. You never know when some opposing fan will get his ass kicked for being a loudmouth or challenging law enforcement. When it happens, you want to be there to see it.

The Swindle in the Swamp and the Choke at Doak. Those two games were so bad they have names. The ‘94 game was an awful game, and afterwards we came out to the parking lot to find my friend’s car windshield had been smashed out and some d-bag had keyed “FSU” into the hood. Worst ride back to Gainesville ever. I hate that **** hole city, that crappy stadium, and that cheating, woman-beating bunch of clowns beyond any words I can articulate.

Rutgers 1985, Florida ranked #3 jumped out to a 28-7 lead in the 3rd qtr. Galen Hall takes out Kerwin Bell and inserts Rodney Brewer at QB who promptly throws a pick six he also threw another int and had a fumble allowing Rutgers to tie the game 28-28 which is how it ended, no OT back then.

Had some friends that insisted on joining us for that game, despite my telling them it would probably an expensive waste of a trip, and horrible first game experience for them. We were already in Gville for the long weekend, but they had to get a room for 2 nights, plus $150 a piece for tickets. On the Monday before the game, they realize they'd bought tix for the FAU game a week prior. Not to be deterred, they bought 2 more tix at like $200 a clip, and came up to watch a 27-2 disaster. We estimated they spent around $1500 all in. I feel bad even typing the story.

As for me, it's a tossup between Vandy '13, Missouri '14, and FSU '15. Missouri might be out of the running since it was a great day aside from the game and I basically drank an entire bottle of Jameson. FSU was actually a fun day, too. We'll go with Vandy. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about that day.

I wasn't present for the swindle, so that won't count for me.

                          Toss up between:
Choke at Doak - I still remember spending the 4th quarter in disbelief thinking they can't come ALL the way back....and they did. Listening to that dying cow chant all the way out of the stadium and back to the cars was miserable.

And the Valley Shook - 1997 loss @LSU as we came in #1 to that game and left to a 28-21 score that wasn't anywhere near that close. Problems began when two friends and I drove down on Friday afternoon to stay with my sister (LSU student at the time). A long night out of drinking, friendly smack between fans, and a lot more drinking meant that we slept in before heading out to tailgate and drink all day Saturday. Our tickets worked out where my two friends were in one endzone, and I was alone in a corner on the opposite end surrounded by LSU folks. I stayed there, drunk, angry, in disbelief, all the way to the end. In part, because I was too drunk, angry, and in disbelief to find my friends and make our way out. Rather than the celebratory second night in Baton Rouge, we met after the game and sulked to the car and immediately began the drive home. What should take about 8-8.5hrs ended up taking us closer to 10hr to drive home. All three completely hungover, tired, and demoralized...none of us were in shape to drive. We took turns driving as long as we could before pulling over and making the other person drive. I think the longest shift any of us managed was about 20-30min. That was a long miserable drive home. I think it is no longer a toss up, I know what my worst experience was.

1995 NC loss to Nebraska (it was cold as **** up in the nose bleed seats we had)

Swindle (I flew cross country just for that game on Thanksgiving weekend and got served a turkey), I lost my voice for days after.

2003 @ MSU (The Zooker’s death nail). Though that’s probably a good thing since we ended up with Meyer. But I flew all the way from Seattle for that crap fest; not an easy place to get to.

The worst Gator game(s) I attended were almost every game coached by MooseDump or Butters... absolutely abysmal football topped off by losing to Georgia Southern at home with ZERO passing yards...

2014 homecoming against Mizzou...and not just because they beat us by like 50 and scored literally almost every possible way imaginable but just the fact that both teams were so god awful. They scored a ton of points but all on returns or turnovers...both teams combined for like 100 yards and it is literally the worst football game i've ever attended regardless of age bracket. I've seen freshman only high school teams with far more compelling action that suck fest.

SQ and Captains tailgate was awesome as usual though
