If we don’t start landing commits, it’s bad news for anyone that considers themselves a gator fan.
Many say they dont care until Feb 7.
Unfortunately it will be too late if we expect to get the bulk of our class Feb 7th. We may get some quality on the 7th but the majority of our class should be signed in Dec.
I don’t care until the end of July
I say give it until 7 days after Friday Night Lights. Not saying we should be in the Top 20 by then, but I can't imagine a good scenario where we're not. I don't expect anything real good to happen though.
What chances do we have landing any of these players? Which ones would you say our are best chances of landing with? Just would like to hear some opinions from you all on thisWould like to see where it goes as far as predictions.
Uh oh. Buckle up.
Kimbrough for sure. Summerall is an fsu lean but a visit can change that. Elam will commit but not at fnl Black is MSU/OM bound imo No clue on hill Pickering and Kayvon are just here for the food Diabate is my pick for our surprise commit
All of them.
Do they know we don't have barbeque sauce anymore?
Actually, I should say many claim the dont care til it is Feb 7, anything else is too soon to worry about it...... And on Feb 7 it is water under the bridge and you shouldnt mention it.
We have this incredible recruiting idea called the Gator BBQ. It is what caused our May.... errrr.... June.... errrr ....July wave of commits.
Real tomato ketchup, Eddie?
For the "we are doing just fine people" here is the article with all your excuses on a platter https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/f...low-recruiting-start-and-why-its-complicated/
Must have seen this right when you did. Yeah, it's a pumper article, but Blackmon does at least try to get a couple of different opinions in there. A good bit of the reasoning seems valid, though I don't necessarily agree with his take on the 2019 classes (ie top-300 commits). Mullen's had his targets in here...just hasn't hit them.
How could anyone think we are doing fine?
I don’t think anyone thinks we’re doing fine some are just staying optimistic until there is no reason to be optimistic anymore. Everyone should at least be somewhat concerned at this point...then varying degrees leading up to the cliff jumpers
I believe that's been UF's official motto since December 2009. I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure it's on a banner somewhere on campus.
I think another thing is that not all Top 300 prospects are the same. He didn't break it down by Top 150 where there will be a much bigger difference and impact.
I was a lot more concerned back then...we were good enough to care maybe too much then. Now I’m just meh...
