Wer'e are pretty much going to strike out on the top250 also. And the Florida Top 50.

What a group of recruiters Mullinz and Co are. Much like Butter's first two staffs, Mullinz crew is devoid of any great recruiters, those aces to send in and win the close contests.

This class shaping up to be a less than Cowbell and Ole Mi$$ class.

We were told the only reason Mullinz has a losing record is bc he didnt enough talent at Cowbell. What will he do with even less?

I see no difference in what Mullen is doing than what McElwain did. We need top kids to commit or we are going to be on the wrong end of a streak with UGA.

I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m not getting excited about rumors.

I think the team will play better football, but without talent they will not win titles.

So far, true. And continues to trend poorly.

Despite the "Recruiting Explosion" we have been promised.... any day now...

And despite a BBQ.

Hoping for a better result in December signing period, but if not, at least he hires some great recruiters and doesn't dig his heals in defending his incompetent friends like Butterteeth did.

It's tough deciding between all those juco colleges. The pain is real.
There is always CUSA and Mac. Pretty sure they still take partial qualifiers. Marshall is likely for most Nq or Pq kids from Florida.

Maybe our coaches thought the dead period started last week.

FIFY.

So, all of our secret commits have committed elsewhere, and most of the other SEC schools are getting close to full having landed our second and third choices.

Maybe we are saving scholarships for next year again.

This is pretty sad. I fully expect us to be scraping the FIU/FAU/N Tex/Hou Baptist barrel again by December, and we will be calling our new QB Whisperer Mr Diamond in the Rough Part 2.

Mullen is going to look really bad if he just barely beats out the lowly school he came from in this class's recruiting rankings.

Only Arkansas, KY, Vandy and Missouri from the SEC trail us in the recruiting rankings now.

What makes you think he will beat them out?

They are impressed and think they have drastically improved. They are probably right.

Sanders and Steele are slipping away from us per the new CB's on 247. Sanders is starting to tilt toward Bammer with him sitting at 40% UF and 33% Bama so we know how that will go. News is even worse in the wake of Steele's visit to USC: he's now CB'd at 68% to the Trojans with us a distant second. Crap.

Good news is that Pittman and Elam are still sitting at 100% UF so there's that......

Florida isn't even in the discussion regarding any of the other top 50 national recruits.

And the UAA has not yet submitted appeals on behalf of Jefferson and Grimes to the NCAA. Super crap.

Are they going to hold these guys out this year in order to bolster next year's class? Insane.

I'm willing to wait and see what happens for now, but this class could fall well short of 25 bodies or be filled with cast-offs.

A sophomore slump is definitely in the offing and unless Mullen suddenly becomes less egotistical and bullheaded than HC's tend to be and overhauls his recruiting, nothing will change and he'll be out after four to five years of stable mediocrity.

I do think the 2018 class with the additions of the last couple years' transfers and the return of suspended players will have us looking like we're headed in the right direction and I think with better coaching and S and C some guys who have under performed will surprise folks, but that momentum could dissipate fast if the 2019 and 2020 classes come up short.
