Tough deal. Reminds me of Keyontae Goodwin. He was expected to be a starting OT here and his mother got really sick. I think she passed as well. He of course, transferred here this spring, and then left before the season to deal with his ailing mother.

Sad story and I hate to seem him go, but understand completely if his departure is because he needs to be closer to family.

Terrible news on his mother, and I’m sure that has to play a role. But he also moved around a lot during high school, and the fact that he wasn’t playing told me he was likely a transfer at some point. It’s fine to recruit out of state, but you better get those kids on the field and you better be winning.

Sidenote, one of our favorite things to do was to re-rank Mullins recruiting classes. Can’t wait to see what 22 and 23 ultimately would look like for a Napier. If I were to guess after Rashada and Norman are taken out, we are pushing the 20th spot. and probably not far off this year. So three straight classes barely inside the top 20. Napier’s Army is basically what our forces took on in Iraq in 1990.

Although a lot of people are predicting it to be crazy, I do not expect it to be. Mainly because of NIL. I think a lot of kids are getting a nice little check, so there’s not a lot of incentive to look around.

I'm not sure we need to start asking what happened to him until we ask the same of all the DBs and the defense in general. No.2 safety coming out of HS and can't get time over the bunch we had out there? I mean we didn't even realize how much better Moore was until late in the season because they kept rolling Kimber out. And who actually recruited Kamari, he's a soph.

Yes. Things started going south last year according to rumors. I’m not ruling out him being a head case, because we’ve certainly seen that before. But at some point, it becomes a very disturbing pattern that some of your core guys that initially bought into you are wavering. There was also talk about moving him to linebacker, which is not where he was signed and where he hasn’t played. How many linebackers that aren’t real linebackers? Did we want to see on one team?

Anyway, I’ll say the same thing I said about Jean. When you pull someone away from a team like uga and fsu and see them having the success they are having, you better at least get those players on the field. Standing on the sideline, watching less talented players playing while you’re being demolished by a team that you almost chose to go to, won’t sit well for a long. And it’s because of not buying or following the process to the extend that our HC wants. Baffling how anyone could be this detached from reality.

Where is he going to go? Don't get me wrong he was one of the brightest spots this year and absolutely destroyed all expectations people had for him, which were not much, but he's not going to be playing on Sundays.
