Now it does look like he’s interested and UF is interested as well (he’s ranked as the number one IOL in the transfer portal) but we still don’t have a date nailed down. We’ve been burned multiple times in the portal the last couple years because we are slow to set up visits and then kids end up committing on visits before they even get to us.

I’m not sure why they’re not learning from this.

You probably already know that Napier is actually very slow to move. How would his immense back office staff not be able to manage the portal?

We have 9 TEs, 15 Edge/OLB types and like 6 WRs that have done nothing in their time here. Wonder if that’s playing a role.

For how ever many we have over 85, there should be a list of those on the bubble or not cutting it. Make room for the kid no matter what. What are the players that aren't going to play do?? Hit the portal, so be it. You make room for Zandamela.

I would hope to think if they're talking to this kid, they have this in mind already. There's no doubt that there is someone on that roster that needs to go.

Listen, it's a great honor to coach these young men, right? It's an opportunity to go out every day and work to be the best you can be, and that's what we're doing, right? There will be struggles along the way, but those opportunities are special.

If a guy can really play and he wants to come aboard, then you do NOT have a numbers problem. Leaders solve problems, not use them as excuses.
