I like Avery Johnson. I'd say this is interesting. Larry Brown made the jump from the nba to college and is doing pretty well at smu. I guess it depends on how good of a staff he puts together and how well he recruits. But he seems like a cool dude

1. I don't see what everybody else seems to see in Pitino Jr. So far he is another Pat Knight, Joey Meyer, and Sean Sutton
2. I will not mock any candidate they pursue since we may very well be in the same boat in a month.

I'm with you on both statements. What the in hell has Richard pitino done other than be very mediocre at his first2 jobs? Do people really think recruits give a **** who his dad is?

I like Avery, but I tend to agree. The guy only coached a handful of years in the NBA and has no experience other than as a player at the college level. I think he had success in 2005 or 2006 as the HC of Dallas, I think. It's his lack of college level experience that would concern me.

I don't see how this is an upgrade.
