Me too. I was about 11 when the became big. I saw them on 60 minutes the other night. Good guys

People ragged on them for not playing their own instruments... but they did sing and then later played.
They outsold both the Beatles and the Stones in '67

I mainly watched to see which song would accompany a goofy montage - like "Auntie Griselda", "A Girl I Knew Somewhere", "Steppin' Stone" or "Pleasant Valley Sunday".
IMO - they had some really good tunes and to me Mickey was the lead singer.

If you get a chance - they have their out takes on Youtube of the auditions/screen tests that all four of them did.
Funny stuff.
