According to Vegasinsider, he is tied for 7th at (20/1)

Bryce Love (9/2)
J Taylor (6/1)
J. Fromm (10/1)
T. Tagovailoa (12/1)
K. Tate (14/1)
S. Patterson (16/1)
Are you sh!tting me? Jake Freaking Fromm is twice as likely to win the Heisman as Grier?

:lmao:

Every player on that list -- including Tagovailoa, who had how many snaps? -- is a stretch, hence the difficulty in picking that far ahead.

Grier was really talented but Mac had to deal with the hee-haw equivalent of his Kardashian family.

Then Mac remembered he could win with his dog Clarabelle at QB. Then he actually manages to win SEC East in spite of it all. He then wins it again. He doesn't count getting boatraced by little Nicky in SEC Championship. His hubris had no limits, ignores base recruiting fundamentals, S&C bs and isnt on top of things when the cc scandal hits. He looks around and realizes he's "dead man walking". He ends up cutting a great deal to walk away.

Yeah, I really don’t get that. At the time, though skeptical of his handling of things, I was willing to give McElwain the benefit of the doubt. And none of us will ever know exactly what happened.

But as I’ve said before, to my knowledge, not a single teammate during his two years here or 2 years at WV have given the slightest hint that Grier was some attitude problem or demanding prima dona. By all accounts he’s adored in Morgantown.

During the same stretch, McElwain was caught in lie after lie, including one that painted the entire fan base in a terrible light, took the lowest of all possible roads the morning of the uga game, had sex with a shark, and reportedly spent thousands of dollars trying to cover it up, all while routinely being a whiny, arrogant prick.

Yeah, sorry, I’m buying WG’s version.

Grier's sin was not sticking around, which made fans angry to the point of labeling him self-absorbed, a prima donna, a Class A jerk. I'm not sure he deserved the wrath of fans to that extent.

The kid loved being here and just wanted to feel like he belonged. If Chad was a PITA, and he was, it was still worth the aggravation. The kid is a special talent, and as sofla correctly pointed out, he appeared not to be a divisive influence in the locker room.

You can never know until you walk in a man's shoes. In the meantime, we very much look like the party that came up short.

Because the dumbass took banned substances. How often do you see players fail KNOWN NCAA drug tests? It takes an epic moron to do crap like that.

How often do you see players at a major program have a S&C program worse than most high schools?

Coaches are in place for guidance and to give these players the best possible chance to succeed. Mac's coaching staff performed criminal acts when it came to these athletes. How many had possible NFL careers ruined by those lazy, bumbling buffoons? It's outrageous, and the fact that every one of those bastards got loads of money on their way out the door makes my blood boil.

As for Grier, getting flushed out of UF by that shark humper was the best thing that ever happened to him. He went to a school that is actually going to showcase what he can do. However, like the Cam Newton thing, for Gator fans it's difficult to watch.

He had no choice....this has been verified by several sources now including Grier himself...AND we've seen like I've tried to tell numerous posters here that Mac was a liar about this just like he lied about the death threats.....I'm not sure why this won't just sink in with some of you....

My comment was nuanced from the haters' POV. Of course he had no choice.

NO.....His family was never directly involved.....that was just another Mac lie/excuse.....
Never directly involved, they flew down here to demand an audience with Butterteeth and demand assurances he will start or else.

In the end, Powder Boy is better off. He probably snorts after practice with Holgerson, goes to casinos and strip bars with him looking to bag strippers, and he plays in an offense that has actually heard of the forward pass.

If he stayed, he wouldnhabe recaptured the starting job from DelTweeto as soon as he was eligible, but then been ripped, just like Franks and Del Tweeto were, if he ever threw touchdowns when Butterteeth wanted a short pass and a FG attempt.

And now? Grier running the fvkking option? lulz... uh, no thanks.

I am starting to think Grier wanted to get caught so he could transfer.

Looks it isnt a binary thing. WG is a douchenozzle who was the one dumbazz in the country out of 30,000 ncaa athletics who got his own fool azz banned.

Butters was a fat lazy lying loser.

It isnt either or. Just like it isnt either with respect to whether Butters and Pigbert suck. They both suck and both got themselves fired.
