Getting guys from Texas to come over to us has been a real turd in the punch bowl, first Brantley then Chimp.

So that he could win that year’s mythical recruiting title. Texas would have been a smarter choice for JB.

Great pro-style QB. Not a DT QB. For all the recruiting prowess of Urban Meyer and Addazio some of the QBs recruited are head scratchers. JB, Reed, Tyler Murphy...on the other hand Driskel would have been great with Mullen as his coach.

Maybe but why would you recruit a QB that does not fit your system? I mean if you inherit a prostyle QB then you have to change your play calling to accommodate him but why would knowingly recruit a prostyle QB that can't run.
Now Matt Corral might have been a prostyle QB but Matt can run.

Addazio has recruited some QBs for Temple and Boston College.

Brantley was more athletic than you probably realize. He played against my high school back in the day, though he was a few years younger than me. I guarantee he was every bit the runner corral is.

Also, it wasn't too far from alex Smith going #1 overall. It's not like he was a Michael Vick clone.

And now I'd look at haskins at osu. Not a runner at all. I know that has little to do with Brantleys era but it's not crazy to think a pp could play in meyers system.

Pretty sure addazio just ruined him. Hands down the worst offensive coordinator at uf in my lifetime. In my opinion he was the start of the program's demise.
