I'm rewatching the game....in case it hasn't been mentioned, Martez Ivey had a horrendous 1st qtr.

You're not referring to the 63 yard TD pass are you? If so, watch it again with this in mind. At the point just before the ball arrives, Franks' WR-target Cleveland has 2 yards on the desperate closing DB (i.e. Tyree is in the clear). Two UT defenders wind up in the photo because a 63 yard "travel-time" gave the DB covering Powell time to pull off Powell and make it into the picture -- no way he was a cover-threat. Franks threw a "perfect pass" by all CFB standards & Cleveland hugged it tight to his breadbasket -- the 63 yard throw landed in the WRs' "orb-cradle", in his "close-hamper", in his bassinet, his "catch-bucket". Just remember fully beaten DBs have lots of time to close on the open WR while the ball is in the air 63 yards.

Luck implies the play was performed without forethought (between FF & TC). Luck implies Franks usually cannot throw that far. Luck implies Tyree ran faster than he normally can sprint. Just because something doen't usually happen = great odds against it, too many variables, does not mean luck must be the guiding principle. The NASA devisers didn't allow luck to enter into a single process for getting our men on the moon. More personal: just because you got to go all-the-way on your first date, doesn't mean luck was your chaperone. :cool:
