BION (believe it or not): Just following that age-old advice, "accentuate the positive", here goes.
Yep, I'm "Pump the Magic draggin' out" the upbeat feelings. =
1) UF's bowl margin of victory historically tied for 7th at 27 points, just below Tebow's vs Cincinnati.
2) Taking advantage of Gators staunch DL, Marcel Harris stuffed Iowa's 1,000+ yard tailback for a 2-yard
loss on 4th and 1 at the goalline !
3) Rarely played fumbly Mark Thompson used his "good hands" pass catching & shed 4-5 separate
tackler attacks on his way to an 85 yard TD = longest TD reception in Outback Bowl history (31 years).
4) Hereto a negative statement that's positive = Coach Mac: "We utilized our skill players out in the open
a bit, but I don't think we did enough." -- No plague of Zen therein.
5) Gardner's TD-Int was caused by "walk-on" Christian Garcia's hit that popped the ball into low-hanging
fruit adroitly picked by Chauncy. (Ever modest Garcia said: "The D-line gave mistake promoting pressure,
so that pick-6 was their's, not mine. (Cred-spread builds team camaraderie.)
PS >> Shannon tells that on Iowa's missed field goal, Garcia-the-Mike told the D to all blow out towards
the right when it was kicked.
