It will be interesting to see if these guys rejoin the team. I'm sure there is stuff at the university level that needs to be done... not to mention these guys are not in football shape. None are playing this year. All still have UF code of conduct type issues. I am in favor of second chances for some, but it will be up to the next HBC to decide. For those who want none back are you going to complain if our scholarships are below the limit for some time?

I don't get this view. Spurrier took back Jabar Gaffney which I viewed as far more controversial. Wilbur Marshall after his had problems early in his UF carreer and Pell brought him back. I think they should all be offered a chance to come back but of course be on thin ice with the program and UF.

Heck there is a good chance that with a new decent coach this year away will make Callaway a lot of money and this issue turns out a fortunate situation for him. Scarlet on the other hand may have been passed by the Perine and Davis so it may have hurt him. In the long run these suspension mean little for UF's program other than UF is still handling things correctly (or maybe back to handing things correctly after the Meyer deviation) and as much discussed here these suspension have had little short run impact on the program.

Maybe more to the point as like these kids it is an example of a kid in trouble under one staff getting a second chance under another, Spurrier gave a second chance to Tony McCoy who got in far more embarrassing trouble at the end of the Hall year:

Sure this situation is different as these guys were convicted. I doubt today if UF could even keep McCoy around despite the recanting, but who knows.

That's fine and you don't have to agree. For me they failed the school, the team, the fans, and themselves. Some more than once, some more than twice. If I did stuff like this at my job I'd be canned. They aren't kids anymore and need to live with the consequences. I'm not sure they understand how lucky they are.
