She is, of course, Native American. Too bad she was over-the-hill before she could headline in their own casino.

Not sure what prompted that post in the first place but it was pretty cool nonetheless. What I found interesting is that she can sing so clearly with the instrument stuck between her lips.

It was just something I came across while looking at some other music and found it interesting. She played in some of the same coffee houses as Bob Dylan and Pete Seegar back in the 60's. I never really listened to her music . She did some stuff with Joni Mitchell who I also didn't care for, although Mitchell was real close friends with CSNY who I did and still do like a lot. For a liberal, I find her kind of an interesting person. Her music has been covered by a lot of artists over the years. She lives on a farm now in Hawaii.

Very cool. I get the feeling you are a bit older than I am but I too am a fan of CSNY and have actually seen them a couple of times nonce with Neil Young and once without. Neil is a helluva guitar player but it is quite a different concert with him performing. He tends to go off on some seriously long guitar riffs that tend to interrupt the flow of the concert. Not bad necessarily but definitely different. I also enjoy James Taylor both live and on CD.

I saw Graham Nash and David Crosby at the Berkley Community Center I think in 1971. Small venue, maybe 500 people. Crosby had a fifth of liquor on the piano he was drinking out of. I saw the four of them later that year at a concert in the Bay area. The last time I saw them was 2006 at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta. While Stills is the most accomplished musician and arranger, Neil Young's personality is such that he takes control. I always said his style was rough as a cob but he doesn't miss a lick. He may be my favorite artist of all time, heavily inluenced by Dylan. See him on My Back Pages, a song recorded in the 60's by Roger McGuinn and the Byrds written by Dylan at the Dylan 30th Anniversery Concert. Even with the greats that play on this take, Neil really shines.

Three things stood out about that video.
1. It was good to see George Harrison again
2. Clapton is indeed the Guitar God (this is why George brought him in for 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps')
3. Teleprompters (can you blame them?)
