Here's the quiz: Yesterday an analyst on major media "It is now clear that China has lost the trade war." He went on to explain the implications with companies locating factories elsewhere, etc. What was the media source of this astonishing admission? One clue, it was NOT an outlet that would be described as right of center, but there WAS a logical reason for it to appear where it did.

But Drumpf is a bumbling idiot who couldn't find his ass with both hands and a map. And also a Mephistophelean purveyor of crony capitalist corruption too subtle and Byzantine for Mueller & Co. to unravel, who's busily chasing the slow bucks that comes with graft while his billions incompetently evaporate. Idiot genius rapist Hitler.

China is aging faster than us.

China will face HUGE extended care issues

China falsely controls their currency value. It's not tied to markets

China has a huge rise in the middle class they are losing the "cheap labor" battle.

China has energy issues. It will be harder to compete.

China has to steal technology to compete.

      Trump knows this.

Actually, the point that I found interesting was that I heard this on NPR on their business show. What seemed hilarious to me was that I don't hear it on the news program. Apparently, it's okay to tell the news audience that Trump is an idiot and will lose tariff war with China, but when you are telling people how to invest their money, you need to tell the truth and admit that China has lost and businesses are looking at Mexico and other countries.

I probably wouldn't underestimate how much the communist Chinese government will sacrifice its people.

This was always a funny proposition. What was China going to do? Take its ball and go home? Sell their plastic shyt in India or Malawi instead?

The sell their stuff here bc we have the money.

I can't even begin to describe the whirlwind of activity these last few weeks with businesses hitting my firm up for relocating them to LATAM. Started two months ago and it's been nonstop ever since.

All of the businessmen I talk with are betting China tanks once Western multinationals pull out. Their economy is nowhere near as invincible as our media likes to portray it.

Their domestic market can't support their excess production and too many (well-connected) people are tied up with keeping the system as it is. So the Chinese govt is caught between a rock and a hard place. To be sustainable, they need to let state-owned industries collapse and focus on the ones that would be competitive (mostly private sector). But if they do that, it results in tens of millions of unemployed citizens...and nothing scares their govt more.
