I love my Chromecast and it saves me a bundle on Comcast services. I use it with my condo HOA account I.D. at my primary residence.

Diddy just bought one and is still learning it's uses. Anyone have the firestick or other devices?

I meant Heavychevy, not Diddy.

What can you do with a Chromecast? Just mirror your phone or computer, watch Netflix, ESPN, Amazon Prime, Porn? I have Roku , Smart Tv and Sony Blu Ray which all stream.

I have a couple of Roku's and a couple of Fire Sticks. They all work pretty much the same.

I have 2 rokus and the new Apple TV. Apple TV interface and interoperability with Apple devices make it better but the roku is great as well.

Not to my knowledge. But you can download Kodi with Genesis which more than makes up for that.

I have the Amazon firestick. It's ok. I'm sure I dont use it to its full potential. It was super cheap and I already had an Amazon prime account.... so it was a no-brainer.

Chrome stick is pretty cool. I didn't realize it was more of a middle man for your apps to stream on the tv, but the tv I needed it for wasn't a smart tv so I went with it. Mostly got it for PlayStation vue, starting to find a few more apps that I can use with it.

For ESPN you have to have a provider where you are paying a subscription fee and the same is true with all premium services, right? What is free with Chromecast?

I am forced to have at minimum basic cable thru the condo HOA. This gives me a user I.D. For getting those channels on xfinitytvgo by streaming in Tallahassee on any device, but that app doesn't allow chromecasting. However, the ESPNgo app does so I can watch ESPN and SecTV in Tallahassee with out paying for them in Tallahassee. Same with any other channel like Foxsportsgo that allows chromecasting...

Conversely, I can Chromecast HBOgo in the condo using the Tallahassee user I.D.

I'm just amazed at the lengths people will go to and the money they will spend in order to watch TV.

Watching tv is such a waste of time. It's almost as bad as playing with a bunch of weirdos on a message board. I'm better than this.
