Played Trump like a fiddle on the cr.... Lol
Chuck and Nancy are 2 crucial reasons why those lilly livered weak kneed republicans have been able to win anything in the last 8 years. And it looks like the dems are keeping them around for the mid terms!
Republicans control all three branches of government. Can't blame the dems.
Repubs have had 3 branches for 8 months. Dems have lost over 1,100 seats nationwide since 2009. There is a problem and it is the big money, big pharma dems in power for many years like Pelosi and her ilk if you will.
He's just put the R's in congress on notice, stop working against me or i will throw you under the bus. He's shown that he will work with the Dem's, lets see what happens when tax reform hits the table. He's looking for allies in congress and if the R's are going to continue to be the same old stalwarts then they will get run over.
Post we just meant to be inflammatory. Asking for any real substantiation is a waste of time.
Earlier today, Donald Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One about the deal he just reached with House and Senate Democratic leadership to raise the debt ceiling, keep government open for 3 more months, and get critical aid to Harvey victims.
Make no mistake, this was Democrats getting everything they wanted without giving up anything, and Trump was very happy to give "Nancy and Chuck" the credit.
This followed Paul Ryan's weird and out-of-tune rant earlier this morning about how terrible and political it would be to combine Harvey aid with a debt ceiling increase.
"We had a very good meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. We agreed to a three-month extension on the debt ceiling," Trump explained. "They think it's very important, we'll always agree on debt ceiling automatically because of the importance of it.""
Nobody plays Trump like a fiddle, he has a reason for everything he does and I bet it works.
According to a source briefed on the meeting, the two sides had come to a stalemate on the length of the debt ceiling extension — with Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin advocating for a longer-term suspension of the limit. Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wanted a three-month extension.
Trump interjected and sided with the Democrats, eventually sealing the deal with a three-month suspension of the limit, a three-month funding bill, and a package for Hurricane Harvey relief."
So according to Nicolle Wallace, Trump tweeted today no daca action because Nancy told him to....lol
Like a fiddle
Why deal with the RINOs who are completely ineffective when you can go right to the real thing -- Democrats.
Russia isn't working, Antifa is an embarrassment, Pelosi and Schumer are rock bottom in approval ratings (both will be challenged for leadership),nothing sticks to Trump or is working for them. Trump gets what he wants all the while embarrassing and "whipping into shape" his recalcitrant republican leaders. Now they will work stronger and faster to move his legislation. Like a fiddle indeed.
Trumps true Democratic colors are showing....
If true, why have you guys been [email protected] and griping about him at every move he makes? Why all the protests and property destruction? Why are all liberal govt employees subverting the President?
You act surprised. Did you actually think he was a republican?
no, i am not surprised
OP's never going to figure that out though.
Yeah, you don't do a whole lot of negotiating for a living I hope.....It's called giving in on something small to make sure you really get what you want in the bigger picture...Sit back and watch the man work over the next 4 months.
