True, he can't be worse than anybody on offense at this point. Definitely feel bad for the guy though. Wouldn't mind seeing him have some success at a different position. He may flourish if he is in a position where he doesn't have to think too much.

And hopefully he does. He's worked his ass off and unfortunately not panned out as the starting QB for UF, but you know he still wants to help this team win in whatever way he can, even if that means teaching Treon the ropes and helping him learn the offense.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him playing H-back and calling plays/assignments for Treon, at least in some 3rd down situations. I don't think the coaches trust Treon to make those on-the-field decisions.

I don't think he's going to be a good pass blocker

I think that is true. And yet, Muschamp may force it

I also heard him say something today along the lines of we wouldn't see much passing under center because we can't sustain it.

Additionally I heard a caller say he went to practices and they practiced running 80% of time and throwing 20% of time.

Well the knock on him has always been the mental part of his QB game. We all know what kind of athlete he is with the ball in his hands. If they can capitalize on that and give UGA something they've never seen on tape, then I'm all for it.
Me too. He certainly has running ability. It would be nice to think that this staff could become imaginative in using him but imagination doesn't seem to be their strong suit.

I went back and looked at it and there's a question mark after his new role. Then it said he's still not sure what his new role will be. And he said we'll see as the week goes on. He kinda shook the question off really
That sounds about right. Knowing the chump, it wouldn't surprise me to play JD significantly if he thinks he can get away with it.

Raise your hand if you honestly believe he didn't mean "back-up qb".

Lol, fair enough. I think back-up qb is an important role, and a lot of times they hold the snaps on kicks......

Holding for field goals and extra points is vital. That would be my best guess.

That would require us scoring, or getting into scoring territory......don't put the cart before the horse.

Driskel should not see the field again, but with our coach he probably will.

And where exactly did Muschamp say this? I just read through the transcript of his entire presser today, and all he said was that Jeff had a "sore back" and missed some practice last week, but was going to be "fine" and "back at practice" today. Didn't say anything about his role in the game this weekend.

He did, however, say that Brandon Powell would have a "significant role" in the game this weekend, so maybe you got your quotes mixed up?

Brandon Powell may be our best RB.

I disagree. I think he should see the field, but you don't see with your feet.
