South Carolina: Will Muschamp has a new six-year deal, worth $4.2 million the first year with $200k escalators each successive year. Muschamp’s buyout for the first year is set at $4 million. Muschamp’s original deal was for five-years and worth $3 million with $100k escalators each year. In addition, new offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon has received a two-year extension worth $650k annually, defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson has got a 3-year extension worth $1.2 million per year, and offensive line coach Eric Wolford and assistant head coach / defensive line coach Lance Thomson have got two-year extensions while Mike Peterson (OLBs), Bobby Bentley (RBs), Coleman Hutzler (STC / LBs), and Pat Washington (TEs) have all got one-year extensions. Also, head strength and conditioning coach Jeff Dillman has received a 2-year extension and will now make $450,000 annually, with a signing bonus of $50,000.

Alabama: Former Texas A&M special teams coordinator Jeff Banks will join Alabama as special teams coordinator.

Baylor: Matt Rhule will remain at Baylor, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Rhule, who interviewed for the Indianapolis Colts head coaching job, tweeted tonight about a Baylor team meeting.

Michigan: Central Michigan tight ends coach Sherrone Moore will join the Michigan staff (isn't this a Jim McElwain type hire?).

Kentucky: Wide receivers coach Lamar Thomas will not return.

USC: Offensive coordinator Tee Martin has interviewed for a spot on the Oakland Raiders staff.

It's great to be a Jimmy Sexton.

So, his client Butterteeth and Brick by Brick Bandboy fall apart, giving Chimp two easy wins, so Jimmy Sexton gets his clients who got fired HUGE buyouts... and convinces Chimp's current employer that they need to pay him much more bc he managed to beat two terrible coaches who just got fired.

It's great to be a Jimmy Sexton.

He has a printing press for money.

According to Forbes, as of 9/25/17 they think he's worth $26.8m. After all those deals he's surely up some more.

@4JoshReed: Brian Daboll is a name to watch for next #Bills OC. The Alabama OC was on William & Mary coaching staff when Sean McDermott was a player there. Daboll was with Pats for several seasons, so he knows the division. Bonus, he’s a WNY native and went to St. Francis.

Butters Watch! This will tell us a lot if Lil Nicky refuses to hire him back. If he does hire him back, we could be sitting great if Nicky finally retires and Bammers feel compelled to promote that dumazz, you know coz he was the first SEC coach to win "championships" in his first too years. This could be excellent for us.

I think he’s exactly the type coach GT needs. With their academic standards, they’ll never be competing on an even playing field with the Dwags. As we learned firsthand, the option negates talent.

@PeteThamel: Will be curious if Saban promotes Mike Locksley. He’d be the leading logical internal candidate. He’d had interest from FSU this year.

Danny Sheridan is really impressed w/ Arkansas' new coach, Chad Kelly:

Prominent oddsmaker says it’s ‘not unreasonable’ that Arkansas soon will be No. 2 in SEC

    https://www.seccountry.com/arkansas...-not-unreasonable-arkansas-soon-will-no-2-sec

Chad Morris has enough pressure as Arkansas’ new coach as it is, but USA Today oddsmaker Danny Sheridan may have just bumped up expectations a couple of notches for the former SMU coach.

During an appearance on Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly on Friday, Sheridan made some pretty bold statements on his expectations for the Morris era in Fayetteville.

“It’s not unreasonable to think that in 3-4 years, Morris will be No. 2 in the SEC,” Sheridan said. “Maybe right behind Alabama and as good as Georgia. That’s not unreasonable if this trend continues and he gets those Texas guys [in recruiting].

“Four years from now I say Morris is right up at the top with Alabama.”

The radio host pushed Sheridan to reaffirm his prediction by asking if that meant Arkansas would have a 10-win season by the time Year 4 roles around for the new Arkansas regime.

“Yeah, I’ll go with 10,” Sheridan said confidently. “I was going to say 9.5 and give you an over-under, but I’ll take 10 wins four years from now. Now, five [years from now], for sure.”

Now that’s a bold statement backed by a very strong prognostication.

Arkansas has not won 10 games in a season since Bobby Petrino led the Hogs to a Cotton Bowl victory and an 11-win season during 2011. It was his second consecutive year of that level of production, claiming 10 wins and a trip to the Sugar Bowl during the 2010 season. Everyone in Arkansas knows what happened on a motorcycle in early 2012 that made the 11-win season Petrino’s last in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks have had just three 10-win seasons in the SEC era (1992-present), so predicting Morris will get there at all in his tenure is quite a compliment to his upside as a coach. Morris has been working hard on the recruiting trail, but he inherits an Arkansas team that won just one conference game during a 4-8 season in Bret Bielema’s final year on campus. There’s a reason Sheridan thinks it will take three or four years for Morris to reach his potential.
