Where you getting that Brian Kelly makes $4 million a year? The article says that he makes a little over 1.5 Mil.

The one and a half million dollars seems to be in line with the federal tax return. Interestingly enough Notre Dame's highest salaried employee is not Brian Kelly. It's Charlie Weis.

Why is his salary so low when they gave Weis such a lucrative contract?

Sounds low for a MNC game under his belt. He had to get a raise after that...almost positive. 2012 tax returns? What about 2013? and what's his 2014 salary?

Those links have his report 2014 salary at 1 1/2 million dollars but only the 2012 federal tax return can be corroborated as of yet. For whatever reason.

Muschamp was 32nd because when he was hired he was paid his perceived value. If he ever won anything he would have gotten a fat bump in pay (see Jimbo Fisher's raise). He definitely earned "the going rate"....but at a school like UF he could have made much more if he was worth a sh*t.

I imagine our next hire will be a PROVEN coach...so he will be paid accordingly. Muschamp simply was overpaid.

Anyone who thinks Brian Kelly is only making $1.5 million at ND is an idiot. Sorry, but it's true. As someone else mentioned, ND is a private school and does not disclose what they are paying...because they don't have to. My guess is he makes at least what a top SEC school would pay (other than Bama). It's probably north of $4 million.

ND has always paid poorly, relatively speaking. They also pay their professors and top admin staff poorly. Cheeseburger was the exception and he reinforced their belief that they shouldn't pay too much.

You might be right about the 1.5 number being old but I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't in the top 50.

They have to disclose it to the IRS. That one $1.5 million is directly from the IRS return from Notre Dame.
