Coaching Staff Updates: Robinson named linebackers coach

Brian Johnson isn't a name I've seen yet but looking at his bio it makes sense. Not sure how and where all these guys fit in. I assume they, along with Knox who's been rumored won't/can't all be on staff.

Johnson is one helluva OC who is very innovative in what he specializes in "the spread" he's also a relentless recruiter. He would be a homerun hire!

Correct...Johnson will have the title "OC" but we know who's the play caller. Johnson's main role will be QB'S and recruiting.

Something else to keep an eye on. I heard this morning that Brewster isn't wanting to stay at FSU or follow Jimbo to A&M. Allegedly he's trying to reunite with Mullen and join his staff. If that happens...watch out!

Main reason I said that was this was in his UF bio:

2004-05 Sacramento State Defensive Coordinator/Secondary

2003 Sacramento State Secondary

2002 Western New Mexico Defensive Coordinator/Secondary

2001 Western New Mexico Secondary

Plus he's already on staff and I didn't know where else to put him.

That would be an interesting staff. I dont like them all, but at least they are proven P5 guys and we arent hiring FIU OL coaches and moving them to DB coach or similiar nonsense.

I don’t know enough about most of the assistant coaches out there, but I’m confident our staff will be better than the last. Mac and the Gang were worst coaching staff ever assembled at UF.
