Thompson has left the football team after multiple foot injuries have kept jim sidelined. He is seeking a second opinion and taking visits to other schools. Florida has given him a full release to go wherever he wants.

Damn it. Was really hoping he could contribute this year. Glad we had McGee transfer in.

Dang, the two supposed top tier TE's are now both gone. And yet Burton.....

The TE with the most catches in the Spring game was a freshman I think. I am glad we got that transfer.

Line her up on the field and all the receivers should be open.

Glad Ancient is not on this board or we would not hear the end of it about the TE position.

Didn't we pick up the top two TE's in the same class with him? Are either of them still around?

Is this new? I thought we knew six months ago that he was done and gone.

He was left off of the spring roster, but he was still attempting to come back.

It's new in the fact that he's trying to transfer to play.UF sent him to a couple of specialists back in april and they both agreed he shouldn't play any more due to the recurring foot problem. The sec gave him a medical deferment in may but I guess he wants to try and play.As per 24/7 he's up at pedophile state looking around. Just hope he doesn't screw himself up for life , I kept playing rugby for 5 -6 years after the docs told me to stop and I'm hitting 50 and looking at 2 of those pretty store bought knees.

This is disappointing. We've had horrible luck with the tight end position over the last few years. Hopefully, the transfer McGee will be a nice solution in the short-term while Goolsby develops. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I am somewhat confused about this situation. If he wanted more opinions and that was reasonable we would have gotten them for him. If he just wants an education we would have continued him on scolly. So I conclude he has been told that playing is not a good idea for medical reasons but he won't accept that. I hope no other school will allow him to play when doctors indicate he should not, and I would expect it to be too dangerous for an NFL team as well. Quite confusing unless our doctors are incorrect which I doubt. I wish him well except if his activities oppose our desires.
